Well, well, so much for Star not being a supporter of the MXDN. That being said, good on Webb for stepping up.

Next I rebuilt the Forks and shock, linkage and just non stop refinishing hardware, hard parts etc. Lot of sandblasting, baking soda blasting and vapor blasting throughout to get all this old fork oil and crap off stuff. Then it was time to make it look like a bike again. Found a chipped reed and oh suprise more red rtv 🤦‍♂️ Rebuilt the carb and got new hoses. Rebuilt the rear wheel with new oem honda rim I had and dubya spokes. New tires, controls, cables. Lot of oem honda hardware was used. Finally after 8 long months i got...

lol. Now THAT’S a stupid comment. I bitch about a number of things here, usually broadcast-related, especially Will and RC, and I am none of the things your describe. Some of us simply have higher standards in our expectations of those delivering content about the highest level athletes in the sport we love. I truly get sick of how they dumb the broadcast down to the lowest level, and how they consistently miss critical race moments because Will is blathering about some bullshit.

Seems like plenty of American fans who don’t like it either. Here’s the reason a lot of fans outside the US don’t like the whole situation (not just the Deegan bit) - most of us come from countries that have zero hope of winning and or evening getting on the podium, and yet still find a way to send a team every year. In many cases these teams never have a home MXoN, their riders aren’t full time professionals and a lot of the time can’t even afford to ship their bikes so they race on rented bikes out of...

The irony in Yamaha capitalizing on the 4-stroke, and the fact that they are still making and profiting from 2 strokes is amazing. The other 3 dropped out...... Especially when you add in, they went unchanged vitually for over a decade...

Yep. That’s it. The long and short of it was Mr. Honda never wanted anything to do with 2-strokes way back pe-1970s. But the engineers at Honda developed them behind his back anyway, since the other oems were making them. Honda allowed it, just to be competitive, but that prevailing mission to eradicate 2-strokes continued. Honda’s pressure on AMA led to rules that allowed advancement of the 4-stroke. The rest is history. So, we will never see a revival of the 2-stroke.

Confessions of a long time 2 stroke holdout. Younger guy (30) who has been on 2 strokes only since 2009. Experienced Vet B. Countless YZ, CR, RM, & KTM 250 2Ts. Bought my 1st 450 last year cuz it was a killer deal, and now that’s all I want to ride. It’s so much better everywhere. Rode my beautifully set up CR250 last week, and it just didn’t do it for me. The sound and the smell were awesome. But I didn’t enjoy riding it after 15 years on one, and then only 35 hrs on a 450. I’m sorry...

But the YZ400 was seen every week being raced by Doug Henry. The bike was legal to line up and race at all levels, from amateur to pro. Whereas the Stark is not. Also, the EPA did nothing years back to kill the 2 stroke. It was the factory's and the AMA and FIM allowing the displacement rules that did away with 2 strokes mainstream in the big bike classes.
