It does not matter what Haiden says, the twat-waffles above will never listen, will always have their shitty little opinions (vs. fact), and will ALWAYS want to see him race.  Thread by thread, his fanbase is growing with people that adore him, and people that seem to love hating on an 18 year old kid.  In both cases, it is a win for Haiden - keep it up fellas.

For fucks sake!  The old growing the sport discussion again.  Deuce Deuce wants it to be NFL size?  Really? At least he admits he doesn't know how that would happen. And then Haiden chimes in with his bullshit.  Just because Haiden has a few social media followers the whole logistics of the sport of motocross are not going to fundamentally change.  For starters there probably isn't any motosport as big as the NFL and certainly no motorsport anywhere near as large as football (soccer for Americans).  Gyspy Ho and all these 'grow the sports' monkeys are living in fairyland.

I'll say to these sages, perhaps you should have attended school a little longer and acquired a sense of the real world beyond the sport. FFS.

I think it's time for a Deegan subforum. Stepping through the muck to find anything else in moto-related is getting a little old.

This. Haiden has a much bigger fan base than some realize.  It’s easy to speculate and draw conclusions, but like Haiden said, they have no clue what they are talking about. Facts, whether popular or unpopular, always stand in the end.

The people that know, know.

Judging from the amount of downvotes I recieved for my post I have come to the conclusion that many here must suffer from a Pathological jealousy.

Hayden is American! He calls a pot a pot. No bullshit.

Lets see.....Pathological jealousy is a type of jealousy that's irrational. Your unhealthy feelings are probably a result from an underlying mental health issue, such as Anxiety, OCD or schizophrenia...it's a sign of extreme insecurity, as well as a desire to control and manipulate.... bummer gents.......fucken sad that you all are hating on America's Best Hope for the fufuture.

I'll sleep great tonight knowing that Jett will be back this weekend.

According to those same so called facts he didn't have a broken wrist. Seems to me they are flawed.

He has been.  He’s said his wrist was broken and the pins need to be removed sooner rather than later, and that there’s recovery time. He doesn’t owe any explanation beyond that since that is a legitimate reason to skip the MXoN.

The problem isn’t with Haiden, it’s with people like you who are going to hate on him no matter he does. If he went and lost, you’d be first in line to tell everyone. If he doesn’t go, you just make up a narrative and use that to hate on him some more.

Tomac skips MXoN: “Kawasaki won’t let him go, that’s legitimate.” (even though Eli said it was his choice)

Sexton skips MXoN: “He’s moving to a new team, that’s legitimate” (even though Honda said they would get him a bike)

Haiden skips MXoN: “needs a surgery. How dare he take time to get the pins remove and listen to the doctors. I had mine removed and was riding two days later! He’s just making excuses. Waves the flag, what a fake patriot.”

The above is how ridiculous some of you look. Supposedly grown men lashing out at an 18 year old who chose to do what’s best for his career and health, as if he dodged the draft during a war.

He actually gives a satisfactory response but how much is true we can only guess. Kudo's if he did actually come clean. He stated he was not going to show you what is going on with his wrist. Does that mean he won't speak the truth?

It is a single pin being removed. Not the entire hardware.

Who cares about downvotes?  They are no indication of the truth or falsity of any claims being made. Someone could post that 2+2=4 and it would be downvoted.  I’ve never downvoted a post and never will. I leave that to the keyboard warriors.

Most of the posters foaming at the mouth in these threads are not American, including rbot. For some reason Haiden Deegan missing the MXdN has caused a couple of continents to lose their collective minds.

Here's an idea, why don't you grab your flat bill a pair of black socks, a vape pen and some neck tats. Then infiltrate the Deegan compound, huck a couple 150ft. whips, some NAC-NAC Saran Wrap double back flips and once you get out of the hospital you can come back here and report about what you found out about his wrist pins.

Once a great nation....  mostly due to the namby-pamby serial offended generation.     Also known as the thumbs-downers/thumb-suckers.

Whistlindiesel has 3x as many Instagram followers and about 5x YouTube followers as the Deegans. Moto popular isn't even on mainstream radar and people seem to lose sight of this. Jett has great story and is young phenom and espn did one story on him and it's crickets from rest of sports world. You are not growing this sport without turning people into riders.

“A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart.”

I say this sincerely. Just tune it out and go ride, garden, swim in the ocean or anything that grounds you. It isn't all doom and gloom mate I promise. There are plenty of dickheads in every generation and the internet is their soapbox. Disconnect.

Now that's one stupide quote. Sure, it has noooooothing to do with your persona.

Are you a paid cheerleader? I’ve never seen so much dedication to just a rider you’re a fan of. You’ve been trying to convince everyone for 2 weeks. Let it go. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Just like your boy, who swore all season people were trying to take him out.

Facts vs. opinion.  It is a hard sell to delusional teenage drama queens in 2024 where information is overshadowed by emotion and opinion.  We are doomed.

F1 would be as big or bigger than NFL, not sure about MotoGP.  As the premier dirt/offroad racing series in the world I don't think it's unreasonable to look at those other premier motorsport series and see what could be done.  The biggest problem is that on a global basis you have two competing series - AMA ProRacing/Feld and FIM/MXGP - both vying for title of world's best MX/SX series.  I really think the next big barrier for true growth in this sport (at an elite level) is going to be unifying those two.

F1 is far away from being as big as the NFL. From 22-23 F1 grosses around +/- 3.2 billion in a similar stretch the NFL brought in +/- 20billion. That's from some quick googling.

What tends to be the biggest issue with growing any sport, as spoken by people much smarter than me, is exposure to the sport. And not necessarily watching it, but being able to relate to it and having participated in some way shape or form.

Most everyone in America has thrown a football or driven a car. So they have some gauge as to how difficult those two activities are and can sit down and watch it.

The connection with the larger audience isn't there yet, and may never be; unless it is given the massive marketing push a company like Liberty Media can offer and has offered to F1 after their purchase of it.

Fair enough, didn’t realise how big the US sports are.
