They are legends. That’s my era, don’t get me wrong, but in SX, you drop Jett and Chase on Chad and James’ bikes back then and they win. Amateurs are better than they were 20 years ago. Privateers are better than they were 20 years ago. Top Pros are better than they were 20 years ago. The sport grows and elevates.

Father time is undefeated...(and I love Eli, he's a legend) but he's going to have to be the best version of Eli Tomac we've ever seen to beat Jett and I just don't see him getting faster at this age. I don't think it gets better on a KTM either.

I’m as much of a Tomac fan boy as anyone else here, but I think we just haven’t seen Tomac race someone like Jett before. Jett is moving past these dudes like they’re standing still. To be honest I don’t think Tomac back in his prime would have anything for present day Jett

Even the best get to a point in their career when they just aren’t good enough. Eli has endured well past the time most champions hang it up. Lets not forget he was going to retire three years ago; those three years haven’t gone smoothly.

despite most american members here love to bash on the mxgp series.....the fact is that every year some new talent show up and the renovation of the top teams keeps happening......and even if the pro series is not very well managed, even if their gates are not always full, the sport is still healthy and young talent keeps moving up across national or emx series, giving the pro classes the renovation it needs to keep competitive..... as for the states side its exactly the opposite, same old same old and if not for foreigners....if you look at who is the...

That's a valid point but I think what we've seen is Eli, AP and the rest riding as fast as they ever have but they just can't match Jetts pace. When you have Stew, RC, Villo and countless other prior champs and phenoms saying he is the best they've ever seen...its probably true. Of course, he's not immortal or unbreakable. I'd say that's one of his better attributes...riding up to the edge and seldom needing to push past it.

Yeah and his ability to create speed from nothing always amazes me. I know that JS talk about Jett’s roll speed, but sometimes he just create a massive burst of speed out of nothing. Like a step on - step off in SX for example or when he goes trough the first corner at MX. he could have had riders in front of him going in to that corner hindering him from going faster than anyone else, and then he just turn and shoots and it looks like he got 30hp more that the rest of the guys going towards...

The bikes not squating because he's not dumping the clutch in a shorter gear, he lugs the bike in a taller gear like Ken Roczen, it doesn't sound fast but those two are masters of it. Jett rides a soft bike and traction control and starts is all his input, he would be getting same results on a HEP suzuki. Everyone is racing corner to corner, Jett is linking the track to create flow and slingshot when needed.

What about when he passed Prado? Prado took the inside line that swept out. Jett was one line out from Prado's. Mid corner Jett jumped out of his rut and knifed inside cutting across Prado's inside line and accelerated past him. How do you jump out of your line at practically a right angle and accelerate past a guy who's in front of you WFO? Wut
