1 day ago Yes I would say that. You misinterpreted what I said. I didn't say they don't work hard, or that the goals they set aren't worth pursuing. I'm saying as professional athletes let's not pretend they're as important as they (and others) make themselves out to be.

1 day ago This is spot on. A lot of professional athletes, and a lot of fans, need to step back everyone now and then to take a reality check on the relative importance of what they do. They are getting paid to participate in a recreational activity. There's no humanitarian awards for being a great dirtbike racer. Work hard, do your best...

Not sure why professional athletes get surprised when some spectators give them shit for perceived underperformance. Like, you know that’s part of the game, right? 8/24/2026 11:51pm Performance wise Deegan is the #1 450 American rider right now. Tomac’s moto results since returning from injury are 14-14-7-14-4-11. I guess they’ll see how he goes at Ironman but Marchbanks is clearly better at the moment.

8/24/2026 6:28pm I wonder how much this decision was crystallised when it became clear the US probably wasn’t going to field a competitive team? It was pretty obvious a few years ago that Star wasn’t going to send US riders if they didn’t think they could win.

Watching those boys haul in the sand is so incredible! Those races ruled too.. If a genie said to me that he can make me ride like Herlings or DeWolf in the sand but be absolutely shithouse on every other surface, I might take that deal haha
