we spend about 3 total weeks on Flaming Gorge per summer for the last 15 years. our first trip is in a couple weeks. i'm really nervous about what we are going to be getting into, beautiful reservoir.

Yeah they are allowed. Twisted has a dual injector setup paired with a different throttle body that some guys are/were running. Pretty sure Nicoletti was running it his last year on Club. I don’t think it really works as a “boost” on the start, just helps overall responsiveness and power. I haven’t ridden with a dual injector setup on a 450, but on a 250 it makes the engine spool up quicker and gives it more power everywhere.

We used to live in the forest and I was a tree killin' slash burnin' mf'er! But yeah I'd be walking around the property and hear them chewing on trees and see sap dripping out of their little boreholes. I hate them. And they're terrible at flying, so they'd just smack into things or into you. I'm happy to say I stomped on every one I could find.

6/5/2026 7:40am Same thing happened with beetle kill forests. We all saw the train wreck happening right in front of us. The feds just sat back and said climate change, nothing we can do about it. No mention of years of fire suppression and logging bans. Regardless of cause, we could have saved some rain forests by actually using the dead timber.

6/4/2026 7:08pm The Colorado river basin is well below snowpack this year. Going to be a long summer for folks in the west I’m afraid. They’re draining 30% of flaming gorge to rescue lake Powell. First year I can remember mountain biking essentially every weekend above 7000 feet. They were climbing 14ers in hiking boots with minimal spikes in early May.

I thought Hunter's bike looked good throughout most of SX. Seems like after A2 he really got comfy and turned it on. Those whoops in Detroit claimed a few other people too, I wouldn't blame the bike. Looks like they finally have the 25/26 platform bike in a good spot and now it's changing again. Gonna be a busy off season for them heading into 27. Anyone else think these OEM's are making too many changes to the bikes and trying to re-invent the wheel every four years? Meanwhile a bike from 2018 just won the SX title.

The media only tells A story, not THE story. They give you enough to stay worked up, scared, confused, divided and fighting amongst each other but never enough for the normies that only get their news from them to put 2 + 2 together to see any whole picture from a 30k ft perspective.
