100% in agreement on the sandbaggers. In NorCal I can race the Vet Intermediate while being competitive. If I race in the meth lab infested 909/951 I’ll struggle in the novice class. There’s too many delusional guys out there thinking that Decoster or Mitch Payton are going to make their dreams come true by winning some local race in the lower classes. My son has gotten into riding in the last year and he’s the perfect candidate for what a beginner class should be. Instead he’d be demoralized if he even tried racing. That is a huge issue that needs to be addressed.

I think we should also consider the issue of so much idle time at the track. Too many classes and sitting at the track for 10 hours gets old real quick. Most racers here in eastern PA are moving to off-road because of ride time. Running scrambles and enduros puts hours on your bike with very little down time. You show up 30-45 minutes...more

Not buying Savatgy a huge X-mas gift was a silly mistake.

Love Stew, but to many other storylines.... Like the title says. I felt Eli responding to Joey’s podcast was important, he rarely says anything not directly related to the race.

He’s a racer 100% and takes no crap. Have to respect that.

Everybody can hate on Vince because of the Situation with Weston, but Vince is an amazing talent on the bike and a great guy off the bike. Yes, he needs to be able to hold that intensity for 20+ minutes, but even the best in the world struggle with that. ... more »

You are missing the biggest variable of all: Audience size. Simply, MX racing is a fraction the size of ball sport audience size. Motorsports of any kind are far more expensive to get into, which is essential to becoming a fan of the sport at the highest level. But...Nascar! Well, its arguable 4...more

Your description of a "proven successful blueprint" for baseball/football is not fully developed.

It would take a miracle to implement your suggestion, but it’s an excellent idea. In order for changes like that to take place they need to be talked about. Kudos for doing just that👏🏻

"Don’t confuse Kawasaki skipping the event as a lack of patriotism. In fact I will go as far to say, what’s more American than standing up for what you believe?" We have so many people getting stirred up under the guise of patriotism in this country. MX doesn’t need to be dragged into it. Kawasaki is smart to invest in their riders upcoming SX/MX seasons and I wouldn’t fault any rider who takes a pass on MXON. It’s smart business.

I agree with Cooksey and would go a step further. Now was the time for the riders to stand together and refuse to ride this event until the FIM sh*tshow is cleaned up regarding drug infractions. No event points are on the line and continuing to give in to the FIM without taking...more

You took the words right out of my mouth Cooksey. Everyone getting on their soapbox, pounding their chests about patriotism and calling out riders that "don't want to go" are making short sighted assumptions and forming their own conclusions.
