If the brake line will fit, it will work. If the brake line wont fit, get a correct brake line. Then it will work. All the master cylinder is doing is generating pressure for the caliper. Your question is akin to asking if a certain brand of air pump will work on a basketball.

I have an 89 YZ250 with terrible brakes. The stock master cylinder limits the adjustability of the lever. Is it possible to swap to a modern master or would I need to replace the caliper as well? Any advice or suggestions appreciated.
