mxtech1 Added a reply to SFF

Pro Circuit appears to be running the SFF this year. Or are they just pushing the SFF logo on a set of conventional Showas?
wwwwooowww! Within 2-5 years 450's are going to be over $10,000 I bet. I'm not trying to hijack your thread because I think the bike is cool, but how can the oem's wonder why sales are low with MSRP like these? But the kicker is i'm sure they will sell every single one of these factory edition bikes.

Given 99% of your posts are filled with sarcastic, semi-dickish comments, which usually entertain me pretty well, I can't decide if you're trying to slip something serious in here on us or not. Is this some sort of riddle post? and you just are waiting to see what people say before you punk us?

Millenium does great work. I've always been 100% satisfied with everything they do. I think the nicest thing about what they do is how they hot wash the cylinders spotless inside and out. The outsides of the cylinders look like new when I get them back.

You probably have a bad tensioner. I haven't worked on those for awhile so I can't remeber if the tensioner is self-adjusting or manual. Do you have an owner's manual? Regardless, I would probably just replace that tensioner. They aren't too expensive. If you continue to run it with a bad tensioner it will probably eventually skip time and ruin...

You should be measuring the bore everytime you have the cylinder off. Keep track of the measurments and this will tell you how much the cylinder has worn vs. piston ring wear. It's also a good way to know when the Nikasil coating is becoming thin. When/if you ever own a used bike, never assume its a stock bore until...

You can remove the plastic shield but I would always run the metal piece because it protects the case during a chain break. The stock savers are farily thin, I would go with a thicker aftermarket saver. You can use anit-mud foam in between the engine case and case saver to keep mud from packing in there.

They just look like they are made of inferior materials. I have heard nothing but bad complaints about boots with only 3 straps because they don't distribute the pressure evenly and can cause pinching. The toes look really soft because they don't have a hard rubber or steel cap. There's no bump on the heel for heel-shifting. They might make...

I wish all the bikes had an internal thread cut into the end of the shifting-shaft to use an 8mm bolt to hold the shifter on. Such a better idea than a pinch shifter with the bolt that points down and usually right into the frame rail.
Trick looking bikes! I could do without all the engraving in the clutch cover though. On a more important note....it's interesting they are sticking with the SFF fork over the standard forks. They must really be happy with the way they've dialed in the SFF. Will be interesting to see if they can get the Nitrogen fork to work as...

If you increase the rod travel you will have to decrease the size of the piston to keep the same CCs. I would like to know how you would decrease the size of the cylinder bore? If you stroke it, add a base plate, keep the stock piston, you'll be over 125 CCs. CC's are calculated using the rod length...

A family usually has to get approval through the school board BEFORE the academic year starts. The family most times has to provide a very detailed list of all the dates the student will miss and the parents usually are required to provide proof that the student is attending said events on the days off. In most cases i've seen...

pilot jet/ pilot circuit is clogged. You need to take the carb back off and take it apart. Remove all the jets and blow carb clean through all the passages followed by compressed air. You might not think it's clogged because you did it once and it "seemed" clean, but there's still something dirty or clogged. Soak the jets in...

The KTM factory pipe is already really good. The stock silencer is restrictive and gives the most power gain. I have had customers in the past that have had really good luck with the FMF Ti shorty silencer and stock pipe and noticable power gains. Other customers with full systems can't tell much difference between a stock pipe/aftermarket silencer vs...
