I use that combo on mine, and like it. It seems to add more down low and in the middle, but takes away a little up top (at least it feels like it due to where power is increased). The silencer helps wake the bike up a bit, as the stocker kind of chokes it up. Fit is perfect.

The KTM factory pipe is already really good. The stock silencer is restrictive and gives the most power gain. I have had customers in the past that have had really good luck with the FMF Ti shorty silencer and stock pipe and noticable power gains. Other customers with full systems can't tell much difference between a stock pipe/aftermarket silencer vs full aftermarket system.

If I were you try the silencer first with the stock pipe. The shorty silencer will give alot of extra low-end power but will cause the top rpm range to flatten a bit.

Buy a supply of race fuel and jetting with the extra money you save from the pipe and really wake that bike up!
