Yes.

It's not on the 250 for any other reason than a "Financial" one.

Be careful what you fall for.

My son came off an SFF KXF, and the first thing he noticed when I got him the 2012 KX450F was just how much better the suspension was. Now if you ask him what he thinks, he is not a fan of the SFF.

my buddys kid loves them after they were sent out and re-valved/sprung, but he has broken something internally on 3 sets in one year. it seemes like he only had one working set out of his two bikes for most of last summer.

Pro Circuit appears to be running the SFF this year. Or are they just pushing the SFF logo on a set of conventional Showas?

PC ran it last year too, but you can't compare a Factory bike (better than factory IMO) to the stock stuff.

Doesn't Kawasaki still run Kayaba on the 450 and Showa on the 250?

Just curious... what does the SFF moniker stand for?

Separate Function Forks, constructed with pressure separation damper in one fork and spring in the other fork.

in theory, it is a weight saver. and it is. they just have to work out the functionality of it. give it 4 years, and every bike will have them, and kayaba will have a version of it.

sounds about right. by then though, bikes will already be at 12K a pop, throw in the SFF and you're looking at another 1-2K that the OEM's will convince us we need to spend on new technology to be competitive.

You're probably right about the price, but it seems like it would actually be much cheaper to manufacture.
