2000 kawasaki lakota timing chain

the timing chain was replaced about a month ago. this four wheeler is just used at my track, so it prob doesnt have 4 hours on it since the timing chain was replaced. the timing chain is already slapping. i wouldnt think that it already needs adjusted, so could it be a different problem like a tensor? Thanks. i am no mechanic btw

You probably have a bad tensioner. I haven't worked on those for awhile so I can't remeber if the tensioner is self-adjusting or manual. Do you have an owner's manual?

Regardless, I would probably just replace that tensioner. They aren't too expensive. If you continue to run it with a bad tensioner it will probably eventually skip time and ruin your top-end.

replaced chain.....what about worn sprockets?
