I've got a 23 sxf 450 and I was amazed how stiff and unfriendly the bike is after coming off a 2020.5 fc450 that was so well setup and was as comfy as an old pair of sneakers. They're plenty fast for the vast majority of people nowadays, I'd wager a modern 250F is a good bit faster than you remember, or even than they actually were back at that time.
