Curious if he was actually symptomatic or if they just shotgunned a bunch of tests and he came back positive for EBV?

Mono causes spleen to enlarge, increases risk of rupture and internal bleeding. Recommendations vary but usually it's several weeks of limited to no physical activity or at least no contact sports. This is why I'm curious whether he has actual clinical infection or just a positive test result. Lot of people will test positive for EBV if you go looking for it.

guess chase's luck just ran out after geting that SX title............

These symptoms include:

extreme fatigue.

fever.

sore throat.

head and body aches.

swollen lymph nodes in the neck and armpits.

swollen liver or spleen or both.

rash.

I would like to see Jett do one of those old fashioned starts where you stand somewhere and then run to your bike when the gate drops. Or maybe line up with bike facing backwards. Race a stock bike. Maybe do a couple rounds on old school CR250R? Try to lap second place? Something.....

Absolutely. I don't even go on FB anymore other than to use Marketplace.  When I go to use it I'll always catch the post at the top of the page. Sure enough it's was about Chase and 90% of the comments were how he's scared of Jett. Just reaffirms why I don't interact on FB. Disrespectful c#nts

Mono sucks, had it bad in college and it took me out for two whole months. I couldn’t do anything but sleep all day everyday, it was ridiculous.

I had it at 16 and doctors wouldn't let me race for minimum of 4 weeks due to enlarged spleen and risk of rupture.

Add another one for mono. It was terrible and I could barely get out of bed for a month. 

I hope he takes the time he needs. Bummer for sure but it happens.

Really bummed that he's out for a bit but it's the right move.  Concussions are no joke.  I've had several and pushed through and raced anyway.  Really wish I hadn't, recovery was long, slow, and never totally back.   They should be taken really seriously.
