Battery management should balance each cell. You can’t balance them in series because unmatched impedance will result in them all settling at different voltages. If you over discharge or over charge a cell repeatedly you will get little tendrils (called dendrites) of copper or lithium forming in the battery and cause internal shorts.

It was a regional not that you know the difference. It wasn't because I blew a tranny either. LMFAO!
If you must know it was because I loaded up my shit and headed home. It was the last moto out 3, 2 classes and they where running until dark. I didn't have the results the first two moto's to make it worth sticking around. I was also beat after 3 days of moto. Do I get any credit for finishing all 3 in the other class? Maybe you would like to compare your first place trophies to mine seeing you think I suck so bad? I will wait for the picture of you and them together.

Last week I got to see 2 Vargs up close at Pala. Badass machines! Two guys similar to my age and speed put 3, 15 to 20 ish minute motos and one 10 minute moto and had about 38% battery life left. He was running 48 hp and said it was all he needed and it felt like his 350 in comparison. He plugged up to a track outlet before his last moto and his buddy had a generator that he was plugged in to.
My plan is to go through one more ICE bike then give the Varg a shot. Currently my only concern is Stark turning into the modern day Alta. Don’t want to end up with a bike that was bought for longevity but no support system for it.
The one for sale near me locally is very enticing however…

I just got rid of my last Ossa trials bike that had this fate. It’s a bummer.
Relax guy. Just giving you back what You put out. Only reasons I ever point out any lack of speed is to make the point about runtime if You or a similar skill level rider was to ride the Varg.
I was almost always the slowest guy of the group I rode with, and have had many injuries trying to be faster. Until I learned that I am just not built for MX. While all of my riding buddies went on to be local pros with some top 20 finishes at AMA nationals. I got stuck in the B class after hurting myself and then my shop burned to the ground along with (3) 450's all of my race photos and all but 2 trophies . The first one I got, and the most recent one at the time. So it's not much of a collection. After that I focused on getting my foot fixed and found out that I had been racing with a broken foot for a couple years .Then developed an infection that almost took my lower leg from the surgery . Then multiple years of surgeries and before I knew it 10 years had passed. But I'm also not claiming to be faster than anybody . And I'm not intending to use a riders speed or lack of speed as an insult. I think back and wish that I rode slower and did not push so far past my limits every time I rode. And while my past injuries do not limit me as much as some of my other friends injuries have. I'm still paying for all of those crashes everyday.
I'm happy for you that You are able to ride and race and eat yummy sandwiches. I just find a lot of the stuff You post to be filled with the BS You claim to be trying to prevent. And that posts like this one of mine, and many ( not all) of the stuff You post about Varg's is not truly adding beneficial information. And It sucks to have every thread about an electric MX bike turn into the same disaster. Its not often that anybody derails a thread about a gas MX bike with EMX talk. But just about every electric thread gets the same BS.

I was just wondering yesterday, how easy would it be to make it street legal? Have an extra set of wheels/tires and plastics, and it's also a daily commuter around town?
I would start off looking at things you would to convert any other MX bike. Look into what You need to do for your state. In MA, It is very difficult to do it with any MX bike. Easier to do with an off road bike. In MA people will sometimes have a property in another state that it is easier to get around the "close course only" that is written on most MX COA's. Then after registering and getting the title in that state they are able to get a MA title and register in MA all legit. I have not done it, and I've never registered a motorcycle for the street. So I'm not sure if it being electric will matter or not. MA also has a law that allows you to register a home built motorcycle after it is inspected by the state police dept that handles that. I hope that somebody who knows more will post .But it will most likely vary dramatically from state to state.
