I believe being “sponsored” is having a contract with said company everything else is just a discount or a hook up. Does the company know your name? are you listed on their website? Nobody ever considers the insane amount of r and d (energy emissions retooling) involved with a new technology like this, all the infrastructure changes (energy, crews, emissions). Shops need new tooling, chargers, wiring, breakers, sometimes new walls and buildings to meet the needs. I’ve been in fleet work for 10 years and automotive for 20 and the amount of money, energy and crews involved with prepping for and maintaining electric has been staggering. Not one person in here has had to deal with finding vendors for "recycle" which is a false term for throwing away and sucking the acid out, then farming precious metals out of the battery and pitching the rest in the dump like normal that is FAR more contaminant than oil. Batteries fail quickly, are expensive to replace and HORRIBLE for the environment from the start of mining, digging in earths core, finding special metals, and then to the time is it not recycled properly because they haven't found a way to do it.
