For Brits of a certain age Robbie Herring always had great designs. Here's a couple from his Yam days, the former being the '88 Des Nations - bit of British Racing Green and the Union Jack incorporated. That year he finished 7th O/A in 1st moto ( 250/500) and 2nd Moto he finished 2nd O/A behind Jeff Ward and ahead of RJ. He was insanely quick and had the best style of that era. Good times..

I attended the MXGP of Shanghai last year. Saw and heard this bike in person. Met the guys behind it. I can't speak to the quality or ride but the bike looks very well engineered. They are all passionate MX and enduro riders that are simply trying to grow the Chinese off-road market in the right direction. One of the guys behind ROCS is a multi-time Chinese national MX champ, is an engineer and also did Dakar a few years ago. Back in 2001/2002 I was jumping the grandstand double at Calhoun SX only to look down and see Lusk on his kx 250 flying about 3 feet lower than me. He looked up, landed, and all of my aspirations to ever be a pro motocross racer vanished about 3 corners later.

He said it multiple times during the moto 60 show this summer and to be fair, with Cairolis results and the shallow depth in the current 450 class, I think that he could do OK. I have always loved Zach’s view on racing. When he lived in Norway with Gundersen they showed up and raced a local race here in Sweden on an off weekend and not to talk about his ISDE racing and always raising his hand for MxDN. I’ve got a soft spot for those types of riders that will race anything just for the love of riding...

I had an '88 which was pretty much the same but with conventional forks. Loved it! It didn't look as clean as this one though.!

Thanks for noticing! Alve rides for our team. It actually was his 4th GP of the year and he did a couple of EMX rounds. He is very young (17) and it is his first year on the 250, but he is learning very fast and getting used to ride at this speed as well. Funny thing is that he is not a sand specialist, his favourite type of soil is more like what we had at Loket last week. At Sweden he will do the EMX250 and at Arnhem MX2, hopefully he can show himself again to get good...
