I know you guys want to believe what you want to believe, but don't you think that 4 years after the death of almost a million men in an effort to free the slaves and reconstitute the United States they wrote the citizenship clause to be maximally inclusive on purpose? I mean, they just welcomed back the the citizenry millions...

He can win a moto anytime he lines up. The Lawrences are simply amazing motocross racers but they aren't magic wizards, they can and have been beat, and deegan has the speed to do it. That's why the Rookie undefeated season is so impressive, it's racing and shit happens, and that feat will likely not be repeated for a while...

I think we aren't too far apart on what we would like the amendment to say, the same mechanism that led to that amendment is still in play today to change it. The obvious lesson here is that the 14th amendment was written to solve a problem that existed at the time. The south could have chosen to deal with...

You don't consider a vote from 2/3s of the officials voted into federal power by the citizens and a vote by 3/4s of the officials voted into state power by the citizens a democratic process?

Ironically for some people, this whole deal is a consequence of having a country that's a constitutional Republic and the way to change it is through democracy.

Metric isn't much better from a hardware perspective except it's mildly annoying to find metric hardware in the states and almost impossible to find imperial hardware in foreign countries. Alot of industrial equipment still has imperial hardware spec'd. Some calculations are a little easier in metric some measuring and tolerancing is a little easier in imperial.

SRAM using the same lever for right/left and just being able to flip them is such an underrated design ethos. Also makes having spares on hand simpler if you're racing and want a backup lever body

I switch them to moto style on my mountain bikes and leave it regular on my road bike. The reason we put the rear brake on the right hand in the US is so you can use your left hand to signal turns or stops while using you right hand to brake with the rear safely.

Unless things have changed since I hosted a regional at one of my tracks about 20 years ago, parking fees, practice fees, vehicle fess, and admission are all set by the promoter, not MX sports. MX sports made their money off area and regional qualifier fees that are collected at the area events and sent in for the regionals before the event. Sure sounds a lot like this track went overboard on trying to capitalize on getting this event. MX Sports was most likely not involved in the reserved parking fiasco. They obviously do need to put a little more...

Gonna take me from absolutely watching some of Loretta's and GNCC to absolutely watching none. Racer TV was awesome for just dropping in and catching some action. I'm not so interested in amateur motocross that I'll grab another subscription on top of what I already pay to watch pro. Not to mention a subscription that's MORE MONEY.

It hasn't rained a ton recently, I think the dirt was drier than it usually is this weekend so it had a hard base under ripped loam so it ended up with a mix of ruts and smoother hard pack.
