he’s talk about this before and it’s interesting and has helped me to not get as upset at the “other” side.

They aren’t dumb, they aren’t on a different team, their way of thinking is just different to you.

They are more conservative by nature or more liberal and thus politically align that way often as well.

He has put it before it’s like walking a tight rope, too far to either side and you fall. The answer and success is a negotiation and balance between them.

This isn’t a politically charged topic or I don’t intended it to be, it’s just a discussion on human nature and the importance of fair discussions and attempts at understanding each other.

Jordan loves word salads and deliberate obfuscation as a veneer of intellectualism.

Was that a word salad to say you disagree?

It's interesting to consider the nature and nurture aspects of this dichotomy.

I didn't watch the video, but I agree with what was said in the post about it.   I've been saying it myself, that both love their country and just have different ideas about what is best for it.

And the way that everybody uses rage as motivation for voting, viewing and donating, just drives a bigger wedge. With many people not wanting to try and understand why somebody may have an opposing opinion of what would be better. Writing off the opposing viewpoints as uneducated, being less smart, hating something, etc. If most people took the time to think, what would it take for me to have the same opinion, and  wonder how  people with that opinion came to form their opinion it may change  their own perspectives on things. Or at least open up some more civil communications.

I like Jordan. I can understand why some people do not, however: he phrases things from a psychological standpoint using his highly educated background as the basis for his argument. His factual delivery often sounds didactic and somewhat insulting. I'm sure that's not what he intends; he just wants to use fact and observation as the basis for his arguments, which I can relate to.

His position that liberals and conservatives must communicate to navigate the ever-changing political landscape is refreshing and true.

I was just gonna call that out. I know this isn't the "Grammar with Falcon" thread but I just learned a new word.

Thank you Mr. Falcon for expanding the mind and vocabulary.
