Quick question. Has anyone else received their Stark yet? Have they done any films of it yet? I haven't seen anything other than this seemingly great guy Bryan who Doesn't have any connection whatsoever to Stark. I thought they sent a shipment over. Why no other reveals? I'd like to see a normal Vitard receive one and show it off. Disclaimer: I ordered one in Dec '21 and I haven't even gotten an update.
Bryan's bike was air freighted, Stark hasn't said how many others, if any, have been shipped.
You ordered a bike from them and haven't heard anything for 17 months ? Huh... Are you worried about it ? I'd be getting pissed if it was me. Not so much that the bike isn't ready but the lack of communication. Seems like they could send a group e-mail periodically or something, not even a Christmas card ?
Dyno day on Thursday. Stay tuned.

Electric dirt bikes (and e-bikes) are going to be so insanely good once next gen, high density batteries become available.
The largest battery maker in the world, CATL, has new 500wh/Kg packs coming to market by end of year.
So does amprius, but its in a pouch form.
https://amprius.com/the-all-new-amprius-500-wh-kg-battery-platform-is-h…
500wh/kg and >1300 Wh/l would absolutely eliminate the need for gas bikes imo. Thats double the energy density we have today. However, those are just two of the few important metrics for battery performance. Notice above that the cycle life is between 200-1200 cycles (wide range like depending on charge/discharge rate), its rate capability is 10C, but its operating temperature is only up to 55*C which is quite low for dirtbikes. Might be good for aircraft though, which see frigid temperatures at altitude.
It's highly unlikely that solid electrolyte, graphite anode batteries are ever going to be viable.
It's wishful thinking that the huge problems with mechanical failures and the poor understanding of their interfacial chemistry will be resolved in a few months.
These problems have defeated the best minds backed by virtually unlimited research funding and resources for decades.
You have to accept that for BEV's Li-ion chemistry is at a practical dead end and the hype about this low energy density, dirty, and incredibly expensive, short lifespan, energy storage is winding down- and being replaced by an equally implausible and impractical hydrogen mania.
So they shipped just one Demo bike to Brian?
Can you post a torque speed graph?
Even better the same graph showing a 450f torque speed graph in different gears.
So technology is evolving. Bright future then.
Its ePower, the tech and performance will all be based on the power source for the majority of advancement.
Battery tech is only getting better and eventually evolve to be better than ICE.
Think Steam power to ICE power and that’s a similar path for ICE b
Such a shame when trolls spoil good conversation, the ones saying battery tech won't change are the same as saying stark won't do 4 Laps without overheating and causing irreversible damage to the magnets in the motor ,they also claim the battery will drain in 8 minutes, suddenly they are so quiet on those comments, its such an obvious cry for attention
It's the same technology that relies on lithium ions intercalating into an active material when charging or discharging. The basic lithium battery chemistry is over 100 years old, and the commercial technology about 30 years in and maxed out. You can only move so many of these ions in a given time and only fit a certain number in the available spaces. There is no step change tech suitable for E MX that will double range at the same power and weight despite what the ultra hypesters from the battery industry say.
Well of course there is it’s just in development.
EV market is not going away. New Battery tech is coming or investment in the industry wouldn’t happen.
I know many believe it’s some big anti Oil company campaign. Guess who will own the battery tech? The same one we pay for oil.
I would say this is quite unbelievable- How hard would it be for someone in marketing or whatever dept take 5 minutes to put together an email to the list of folks that ordered a bike? An occasional update…picture of production, a thanks for sticking by us..sorry for a delay..
Seems the only person who gets any communication is Bryan..
People said the exact same thing about SSD drives. Too expensive, won't last, not reliable, etc. and that was actually true in the beginning. Now look, pretty much every single PC has a SSD and honestly, I wouldn't use a PC without one.
I ordered a bike, due for delivery in Sept. Not sure that I’m going to take it or not, but that’s another conversation. They do have a newsletter that they send out, probably once a month or so I’d say. I’m not saying I’m okay with my delivery being almost a year behind schedule, but they have been very transparent about it. Whoever said Stark hadn’t been communicating is either a liar or needs to check their junk mail folder.
The same people across multiple forums say batteries havnt improved , you show the industry published kWh and kwl over 10 years and they go quiet for a week , then they repeat the same claim that battery tech hasn't moved , it's pure troll 😔
Given the proliferation of devices & systems that require a stored energy source, one of the most pressing needs of the modern world is advancements in that very technology & there is much to be gained by those who offer a solution. Just like the 'step change' that occurred when L-ion replaced lead/acid where applicable.
History & the ambitions of a modern world are betting against your assessment, GP.

I pretty much considered it like I was throwing $100 down at a table in Vegas. It may just vanish or it could pay off big. I can log in to my account and it still shows my order date of December 17th 2021 and a delivery date of November of 23. But it's shown that forever. I am hoping for the best. The main reason I really want a good electric Mxer is that we own a unique property in Bend, Oregon. I own 24 acres in the middle of a neighborhood of 1 acre lots. I have about 35 lots that border our property. We have a track but we don't ride too much because it's loud and I don't want to drive my neighbors crazy. The property is covered in Ponderosa pines and manzanita bush. The dirt is epic and there is about 80 ft of elevation change from the top to bottom. If we went electric I am immediately going to build a full on, electric motocross park with a water system. I am 50, I am sick of driving 2-3 hrs to moto tracks. I love my ICE bikes but not having to leave my property is going to be a game changer. I hope the super polished dude from Sweden comes through eventually LOL
Im jealous. I REALLY want a property like that (and may be soon moving to get it). The Stark Varg is absolutely perfect for your situation.
Everything in red is our property. You can see the small track that I have currently. It doesn't look like it, but that little track has about 35-40' of elevation change. It's situated between my house (bottom of the 3 small lots inside the large kite shaped lot) and shop (top of the 3 lots closer to Shoshone Rd). The property to the right with more trees and only a hillclimb trail has around 100' of elevation change. We never built anything more than we did because the sound of the 4 strokes travels for miles. The kite shaped outer lot line is 24 acres. Plenty of room to build a full on moto track if it wasn't for the noise. Look at all those neighbors!!! Who, in their defense have been more than gracious dealing with our noise over the last 10 years. The below pics are from a few years ago, the one photo is from the roof of the shop that sits at the bottom of our hill that shows the current track layout. I know there are a lot of haters of the e movement, but I think they don't realize just how many in town moto opportunities will open up. This location is a once in a lifetime spot, we are only .5 miles from Bend City limits and look at those mnt views!!! We've had a few scenes from moto shoots done here in the past. The Moto 10 movie shot a couple scenes here and Fox racing catalog shot here in '21. Anyway, I hope the Stark really comes through. You obviously have a close connection to Stark, let them know there are people like us out here waiting for them to open a new world of moto Stoke!!!

You should just buy a second hand ALTA and get going!
The opportunity on your property is just perfect for it.
Did a podcast yesterday with Steve Matthes! Take a listen.

Zillow’s server blows up as Vital members furiously search for properties in Bend…
I thought about that, but I didn't want to get a bike that I can't get parts for.
We have lots of good single track but not much in the way of Mx tracks. Just a few private tracks that are on massive parcels to buffer neighbors from noise.
This was the stark newsletter today. Just talking about a pro MTB rider using it to cross train. Nothing else in it.
Exactly, some other dude in this thread said we get monthly updates and that I was a liar or didn't check my spam. These are what we get, which are not updates. I don't really care about the updates and will wait as long as it takes. I am hopeful they come through, but given the evidence of the global supply chain chokehold being long over. I'd say there may be other issues holding the production back. Car dealer lots and motorcycle shops are becoming chock full of "hard to get" units these days. If anything, we have an over supply again. Who knows? I am fine with risking the $100. It will be a good story either way.
Stark Vargs are the Best MX Bikes Ever, didn't you know? They've sold 17 or 18,000
If you want information on production lines, delivery times, range, competition eligibility, or anything else, there is something seriously wrong with you.
Just accept that they are the Best MX Bikes Ever.
I think they’ve done more than enough to show that bikes have already been manufactured and are heading out the door.
Post a reply to: New bike day - Stark Varg has arrived!!!!
