I also remember these were Photoshop images. The entire engine block looks like a production model, while a prototype often consists of a one of purpose-built engine. I also can't recall ever seeing an actual photo of the YZF150.

If I remember correctly, Joel Smets used a cable clutch on his KTM 450. He prefered it for the better feel during the start.

The whole point of the race is that you ride for the country you where born. If I remember correctly there was some sort of bad feelings when the south african federation complained he waved a flag on the podium without asking permision first. Or something stupid like that. And that ultimately led to him racing with a Dutch license...

Its ridiculous they let him race for the Netherlands in the first place. He is born in South Africa. All the MXDN victory's they claim this way have a asterisk. Whatever the real reason is for this selection should be made public. Because now its just laughable.

I personally don't count that one as a win. As I am a firm believer you should race for the country where you were born. Thats the whole purpose of the race. Otherwise we could also form groups from 3 riders on brand etc. You also see this with the olympics and athletes who changed nationalities later in life. Not...

Here in Europe It has happened several times that the freeride was sold with a 50% discount. Maybe soon again if a updated model is coming. It is a very fun bike, but not for +12000€. Don't know what KTM was thinking with that kind of pricing.
