Stark Vargs (as in plural)

So have these bikes actually started shipping in any quantity?  I know several members here have deposits on them, but the only person I’ve seen review them is our resident shill.  Does anyone else have an ETA for delivery?  I’d love to try one out at some point.

Thousand Oaks told a buddy of mine that there is suppose to be 70 of them shipped out by December.
I’d hope that was just for their shop, cause that’s not too many

Here we go again with the resident shill comment. Shame on me first clicking "BUY" first and being an electric dirtbike enthusiast who happens to be smart, articulate, and a halfway decent rider.... shame on me!

Grow up.

People are just trying to find out if these things are actually being delivered not a lot of transparency with the company!

To answer OP, they are still in the pre-order only stage. Guessing it will be 2 years before you see them available on a showroom floor.

I just saw their instagram post about the battery and skid plate. So there is no frame under the battery? So if you case a hard jump or land on top of another bike you are likely destroying battery?

Likely starting an impossible to extinguish fire, either immediately or in the next few days.

It seems they use the motor as a stressed member, that is the motor itself makes up part of the structure that would typically be all frame, so I reckon you are right. No physical frame extending past there. Some open wheel / formula racecars do similar with their engines.

With the risk involved in damaging the battery, both physically and financially, I hope that skid plate was pulled off an MRAP or something.

I have nothing against the VARG and it is pretty impressive what they have been able to do, they've stepped up the performance and seemingly quality of the electric bike, so I'm not shit talking-them.

It has a plastic skid plate with foam beneath the battery...

It should be OK on a motocross track, the Varg is a motocross bike, but it may not survive a rock garden!

Based on the pictures I’ve seen of the skid plate, it has a thicker layer of EPS than what is protecting your noggin from the same type of impact

I didn’t call anyone out here.  I suppose if the shoe fits, you’re welcome to wear it.

I’m just trying to figure out when these are supposed to start shipping to regular folks so I can try one.

The other two people you mentioned that have received them might also fit in those shoes, one being a blogger and the other a professional athlete.

I'm a regular folk with one on order, my delivery date currently says 30th June 2023. Two weeks from now. Guess I'll see if they let me down at the last minute Unsure

Stark customers on social media have shown 4 bikes delivered, there are likely to be more, some people aren't on social media.

If you order a Stark Varg today lead time is 19 months, if you want to try one you will have a long wait, unless you are extremely nice to Bryan!

Good news!  If you’re supposed to receive it in two weeks, by now it would already be on a boat on its way here.  No way they can afford to air freight bikes to every regular consumer.
So did they fly you over to Europe for a tour of the factory like they did for the other “regular folk” here on Vital that already has one?

@MX245 lives in the UK, that is part of Europe!

Stark are unlikely to ship bikes to the UK, there is a rail tunnel from France to the UK which carries cars and trucks, more likely bikes are transported by truck.

I will never forget the ration of shit that a Vital member got for suggesting this Stark guy (Bryan) was paid/given preferential treatment from Stark in Bryan's first 'look at me' thread.  Even ML gave him grief for that comment.

I'd say it's a reasonable bet that if those two actually have bikes they are loaners from the old fleet of demo specials.

Neither of the guys are likely to embarrass Anton by running out of battery 15 minutes into a tough moto.

Translation: someone here at Stark suggested we may notice an increase in our sales if we actually created and staffed a shipping department.

So, we have requested money in the budget to conduct a feasibility study on the topic and expect said study to be completed within the next 2 years, perhaps less if each individual brings their top game every single day.

In the meantime, our generously staffed bookkeeping department is still bringing their top game every single day and accepting deposits.

No. I'm supposed to be picking it up from the local dealer. I had a call from Stark about a year ago (ish). I think they called everyone who had placed an order. The guy on the phone was pretty friendly and helpful. He asked if I'd be happy collecting it from my local dealer. I happen to know the dealer well and they are just up the road from me so I said yeah fine. Maybe I'll pay the dealer, I don't know. I still kinda feel like it wont be here in two weeks. Laughing

And Yes I'm in the UK, so the bikes would almost certainly be coming via road.

No I didn't get offered a tour of the factory, I guess I'm one of the first "normal" customersLaughing

I have no doubt they will reach full scale production, and it's a neat niche bike.

I think a lot of the "hate" here is the smoke-and-mirrors corporate PR facade put out by Stark.  They gave the impression of full production and shipping, when in fact it is not occurring... yet.

I don't like being bullshitted.  If you don't mind being bullshitted, then that's your prerogative.

If it is EPS, does that mean you need to replace the skid plate every time you case a jump and compress the foam?
