Unfortunately the race hadn't completed 75% and couldn't be restarted because of the weather, so it was cancelled as per the rules.

8/9/2026 4:18pm Why so much resistance to assigning them to their own class? All this "handicapping" and "restricting" is a bunch of nonsense. Reminds me of letting men who call themselves women compete against women if their testosterone level is below a certain theshold. Eliminate all the stupidity and unnecessary work and race like against like. Much easier and totally logical. 👍

I had one of the most simple and economical LL I've ever had this year. And ironically it's the only time I've ever actually gotten in the program and raced! Showed up on Sunday evening and pulled into a little spot off the road up on stagecoach hill and setup a canopy. Had a bunch of Best Western hotel points saved up, so staying the week in a hotel cost us $260 total. Tossed the bike in the Metris van and drove from Ohio getting 25mpg. My father recently suffered a stroke which led to some brain issues, and has lost a bit of his cognitive function. Ive taken him to the track with me a few times but he complains that he cant really follow me because he cant tell any differences between me and other riders. Im wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks to make it to where he can pick me out of a crowd. Ive tried a few different gear sets, ive put some high vis vinyl sticker material on my helmet, neither have seemed to help. With how wild...

One of those goofy helmet Mohawk things would work, or a hi-viz construction vest? Maybe just tape a 2 ft ribbon on your helmet? Hope you find something that works, and keep your dad riding as long as he’s able. What a blessing for both of you!

You can have an "open" class where anything goes, but I still believe in classes to allow riders to choose what best suits them. Again, what is the goal? To determine which platform is most advantageous under certain conditions or who the best rider...

8/9/2026 1:47pm Racing is supposed to determine who is the better rider, not which vehicle platform is most advantageous on a circuit. The platforms should have the same base in a class - equal displacements, same combustion type, etc. Once they mix platforms and try to "balance" the differences, you get subjectivity in the equation and it never works - living proof...
