Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
talking MX only not SX, but yes, seeing that list, (current competition, like I said, ) 5th-8th place outdoors. Consistently. Thanks for posting the most current list of competition.
Who will he be consistently beating on this group?
Jett
Hunter
Tomac
Webb
Cooper
Hampshire
Sexton
Plessinger
Mookie
Roczen
Anderson
Barcia
Very happy he got this ride
I’m not saying he will consistently top 5 but he will consistently be racing around Hampshire, AP, Mookie, Anderson and Barcia. Those guys are all fairly interchangeable indoors for me and I see him being in that 2nd group with Jett being group 1a and hunter, Tomac, Webb and sexton being group 1b.

Hampshire and AP are notably better than Mookie and Barcia. I can see him racing Barcia and Mookie, but he may only get an occasional look at the back of Hampshire and Plessinger's jerseys...
Nothing against Marchbanks and I hope he has a breakout year, but I think we have to be real about his expectations.
If Marchbanks stays healthy odds are a good chunk of that list won’t be racing anyway so he won’t need to beat them. Every year we talk how stacked a field is and so many don’t make the races.
Masterpool, 23 years old, has a lot fewer years, laps, and injuries than the old heads below. I’m glad he’s moving up while his career is in the early years. He’ll do fine in SX.
Tomac - 33
Webb - 29
Cooper - 28
Hampshire - 29
Plessinger - 29
Mookie - 32
Roczen - 31
Anderson - 32
Barcia - 33
Does Masterpool have a ride for SX? I thought he was out.
We’re talking about 450 here, post his results for that
What an awesome opportunity for Marchbanks. I hope it goes great for him.
Did Mookie win a race and podium this year ?
Let’s hope he rides like we know he can, and is not reading jerseys.
Weimer only raced two SX rounds in 2011 before injury, but both were top 10. His first full SX season in 2012 he got 5 podiums and finished the series 5th overall. In Outdoors he was 3rd in the standings.
Not bad for a ‘cheap’ second rider.
This is the way
How is anybody written off? I've not seen any claims someone won't make a main or the night show?
As for speculating who will be podium, top 5, top 10 etc any positive claim you make for one rider is a negative claim for another. Everyone can't podium, these aren't participation awards. If you say Mookie or anyone else gets top 5, you're also saying 17 other riders aren't.
Biggest difference between Weimer and Marchbanks is that Kawi didn’t have a dedicated test rider like they do now (Tickle), so Jake kinda got the job by default.
My thoughts exactly.
Pit Row
I think he will be just fine just makes for better racing entertainment!!
People are underrating Garrett's upside. Definitely recommend listening to his episode on Gypsy Tales, too. He deserves this ride.
As long as they have taken him for 2 years, fair play- better a year too early than too late- learning year indoors- a lot of potential to do well outdoors in year 1- a few of the old guard retire and year 2 SX looks like an improvement from year 1.
Is a law of diminishing returns staying on a 250 for Garrett, especially indoors
I can't wait for Levi Kitchen to move up to the 450.
Levi is a dark horse and I really believe he will be a challenger for Jett, Hunter and the rest of the dudes.
RJ slotted in very well....
Levi didn’t have anything for Deegan and you think he’s got something for the Lawrence bros? How you figure?
Back to Marchbanks…he better figure out how to start, because he won’t be ripping through the pack in the 450 class.
Being on a 450 is going to help no matter what. if you go back and watch his starts, He's getting off the gate launch wise. He'll be fine on the 450. Has it been confirmed?
And to be fair, the original post mentions indoor and my post mostly references outdoor. Mookie is notably better indoors than outdoors. And we don't yet know what RJ will be indoors on the 450. He did win a heat race on his first ever ride in SX on a 450.
Fortunately we only have a few months to find out what really happens....
Mandolorian
As harsh as that may seem, its closer to the truth than people feel comfortable with.
Marchbanks is a decent rider but wont command the salary of a top guy, so whatever he does will either be good value for money, or not a waste if money.
Could he be a worse investment than Prado turned out to be. ?
I wouldn't be too hasty judging Marchbanks. Even though his size hinders him on a 250, I feel he made a step up this year. And I also believe he understands the opportunity at hand now. He has a good relationship with Tickle, and I believe focusing his efforts on the 450 and this shot can put him in Hampshire's area of results.
I have no idea about Supercross. In Mx, I expect him to compete with Hunter, Deegan and Chase.
The main thing he needs to do is expect to win, and on a day and track where he's faster than Racer X, he needs to pass Racer X, regardless of the number on the jersey.
I'm not predicting that he's going to beat Jett. But I say this to all racers. Jett isn't unbeatable. He's just very, very good.
No way Marchbanks could run with Hunter Lawrence, Deegan or Sexton Outdoors next year!
(or are you talking about Prado?...)
