They need to market an “all new transmission” and give it a solid year with little to no issues. All their transmission problems being so public has really hurt their sales in my opinion. I was very close to buying a new Triumph 450 but went with KTM instead because of the transmission problems. I personally know of shift fork failures, and that’s something I don’t want to deal with.

they supply a solid motor to moto2. 140hp out of 765cc triple. theyre in and around the paddock there. their supersport chassis is old but has had success in the past. their corporate seems to be a mess, so who knows, but it seems like cokah is cleaning house and being given some runway to start over rather than float around in 10th indefinitely.

It sucks because by all accounts the bikes are great. I know the 250 mxgp team is not a factory triumph team they farmed it out so that may be why they want to do that here too. Racing is hard, if you could just win right away everyone would do it, hope they dont get discouraged. Matthes was talking about how the usa team got off on a really bad foot with bobby hewitt and everybody was clashing personalities and then bobby left but some of his guys were still there. Now they have jeremy coker in charge so...

They've had the most success by far racing MX2 in Europe. Wouldn't be surprised if they reduced the budget in series where they haven't done well, and focused on where they do best.

If Sacha has to sit out a round or two Triumph probably wins the Mx2 title this year. Whatever they're doing in the MXGP at least, it works. I hope they can sign good guys for next years in the US. Swoll looked really good sometimes but it's really hard to judge a team when the riders are permanently out/injured.. And I don't believe Smith would be better on any other bike. The more teams/spots, the better, that's for sure. But they need some consistent riders to build and get dialed in imo.

Man weather is perfect here! 65 and cloudy high of 72. Track will stay good al day. No issues with shadows today. Layout is quite different and looks like they want to slow them down a bit. Rode the street bike up and went around the 3 mile backup on river road. Saved me 2 hours.
