Ive spent some time with Dick Burleson at multiple rides over the years. He is an offroad legend wining 8 consecutive enduro national championships. His son was also the president of KTM North America. Here are some pictures from a ride in Ohio where he gave me a Jersey and then a few from us cleaning the awning of the Moose Rig. Hes got quite the hilarious personality as well!

Just an old timer from the S.F.V. who did pretty well in the 50's and 60's until he hit his head and couldn't race anymore. He was super close to the Ekin's brothers, and Steve McQueen. As a young kid in the 70's they'd all be over at my grandparents house in Reseda for Sunday dinner and I had no idea who anyone was. Oh to go back in time and be able to be a fly on the wall.

I saw Deegan doing donuts on some parking lot in his R8. When I was about to introduce myself, the cops arrived and I made my way out just in time.

Mammoth has become a lot more separated in sketchy hard pack and silt over the decades. Used to be coarse sand like the surrounding area. I think Jason hit a soft patch typical of outside of turns. But I got to say all Vet weekend I never saw anyone go down there. Weird.

For tires I completely agree, for shocks I’m going to rely on what Showa KYB and WP recommend.

I’m all for the chainsaws at the MXdN. At an AMA Pro National, not so much. I don’t know what’s more annoying, the air horns and chainsaws during a podium interview or the constant screaming of “Red Bud” by the alcoholics at every RedBud race.

It is crazy how far the women have come in terms of speed. I remember watching Jessica Patterson and she had speed, but she wasn't coming close to top 10 at LL outside the women's classes. I doubt she would have qualified at all. That said, they wouldn't be where they are without Fiolek, Patterson, and the others. From what I recall, they had those women out there racing AFTER the main nationals were over when the tracks were completely hammered. I cannot imagine going out there for a full moto after the second 450 moto decimates what is left...

Got to talk to Ferrandis for a couple minutes @ the Cleveland SX, had my friends 2 daughters with me who both race. Dylan was talking about how fast the ladies in WMX have gotten, so I figure, if its good enough to impress him it must be pretty damn good..lol. He doesnt sugarcoat anything.
