hankthespacecowboy Added a reply to Opinions on lower height Husky vs regular height KTM
1 day ago I have a '21 FE350, and '25 FX 350. On the '25, I find the seat height is just a little lower in relation to my knees. It doesn't seem like it would be much, but I find it noticeably easier to grip the bike with my knees on the '25.

hankthespacecowboy Added a reply to Chase sexton ghost ride bike in kawi pits hitting Marchbanks
6/8/2026 9:10am I think this is just Chase playing into Kawasaki's secret marketing strategy for being the brand occupying the most bandwidth on the Vital forums. Between the various two-stroke threads, and this, is any other brand even close?
hankthespacecowboy Added a reply to Multiple Winners, Few Close Battles
5/3/2026 10:03am Even if it is the result of track design, why has there been such a consistent gap between the leader & 2nd place? It seems even if track design results in a "one line" track, we should still see more extended battles for the lead position? It wouldn't be such a peculiar question if it were the matter of one...
hankthespacecowboy Started a new thread Multiple Winners, Few Close Battles
5/3/2026 8:51am An interesting counterpoint to the fact that this season has been one of the most unpredictable in terms of who is going to stand on the top of the podium in the 450 class is that there really haven't been any extended battles for the lead. It seems like by the midpoint of the race, the leader (be it Hunter...

5/3/2026 6:52am I went in to this weekend thinking Kenny had the edge…. Now I think Hunter has taken it back. Hoping it’s Ken, thinking now it will probably be Hunter.

Maybe this was Suzuki’s long term financial strategy all along. Allocate costs saved from every bike that doesn’t have an electric start so that they can inevitably pay up for a championship.

hankthespacecowboy Added a reply to Will Jett be ready?
4/4/2026 6:31am Even as spacetime is warping, it still must follow fundamental rules of entropy. Jett has started his entropy cycle earlier this year, whereas the one you speak of has not yet encountered an entropy cycle. Jett will be accelerating out the other side of the entropy blackhole just as it is starting to feed on the accumulated mass of hubris...

4/3/2026 9:28pm I don't think you are accounting for the fact that since the Hunter family is from below the Equator, the Deegan blackhole will be spinning the wrong direction to affect their polarity.

hankthespacecowboy Added a reply to Floating Rear Brake
3/16/2026 7:25am I'm pretty sure you have to wear a kidney belt for floating brake setup to work properly. I just don't think we are going to see any meaningful advancements in floating brake setups until every riding gear company has a full rainbow of kidney belts in their lineup again.

3/3/2026 6:01am Even though my Spanish isn't even to a functional level, I find the Spanish commentary far more exciting & engaging. Going back to the regular white dudes in the booth sounds like golf commentary by comparison.

hankthespacecowboy Added a reply to '92 WR200 Oddball Unicorn
1/3/2026 7:04am I'll probably just go for a new seat cover. There are some signs of fraying at some of the edges & seams, so there doesn't seem much point in trying to get this one all sparkly. Cosmetics are pretty much last on my list for this bike. Hoping to have it all dialed in as my "modern" race bike for...

12/31/2025 7:50am There are some folks who will tell you that 200's are under-powered for hill climbing. I don't know who those people, but they certainly aren't me. Enjoying the secret season of the desert with a fellow 200 enthusiast, and not once complaining about a lack of power.

12/28/2025 5:36pm For those who are interested, here is a link to the video. Quite a bit of good info about the bike, and the teardown process is informative if you are doing one for the first time. I got a good laugh out of the airbox removal, as it is a genuine PITA; I found I had to remove the shock...

12/28/2025 7:50am The ongoing legacy of the WR/DT engine platform is a large part of what made this bike such an appealing project to me. It delivers unicorn status (at least here in the US) without the frustration of parts sourcing that goes along with true limited production unicorn bikes (side eye glance at my '83 Honda CR 60). I was prepared...
