And here after moto 1, Brian was chest pumping himself in the mirror that his son exposed the Law Firms plan. What plan?

He tells that to Haiden and then Haiden repeats this while being interviewed before moto 2.
Buttery was one of the platforms where Haiden said his crashed exposed whatever it was.

How many times does a person have to eat crow before youre like, “ damn, I need to change my thoughts, what I say etc”.  He does this sober.
I can see getting drunk and saying stupid crap.
Haiden will unfortunately meet his maker. Karma.
When he does get injured, it happens to all in this sport, I will bet the Law Firms will not talk crap about him/it.

Amazing that Jett could ride Deegans pace all year with one hoof.
Once Jett is healed up completely I believe he will beat Deegan many more times.

If that were the case the Deegan’s just admitted how much better the Lawrence’s are because they have Deegan covered so much they can just decide the outcome of these titles lol.

I think the Honda team/ Lawrence family theories need to go away honestly.

BUT I have not seen any reasonable explanation yet why JLaw ran mid pack, maybe picked up a tick after his bro passed in moto 1, but got podium in the moto 2.

I believe humility, guilt, conscience... whatever word you want to throw in there has contributed a least a fraction of the reason for not running SMX. There are prob other legit reasons as well.

I agree with some of this.  I don’t think there was any money on the line or contracts or that it was preplanned in anyway.  We all knew Jett was injured coming into the season and I wouldn’t be surprised if he injured himself a little more, but I think he let up to let his brother go by. I don’t think he wanted to see Hunter lose the title that way, and it was clear to me that he let Hunter go by.

I think that Jett not racing SMX is for the reasons they stated so that he can heal up. It wouldn’t have surprised me if he didn’t race SMX no matter the outcome of the championship since his foot still needs time to heal.

So he did that to let Hunter go by to win the title and cost his family 100’s of thousands of dollars at the same time?

There is literally footage of Jett from Pala 2022 trying to help Hunter and telling him he was trying to let him by to help him in his title position. If he's attempted race fixing for his brother's benefit before, this time it was obvious he did it again but for Capital gain.

What did this cost Jett?

Explain the capital gains, be side exactly every capital gain reasoning has been made invalid by facts.

Family lost money by Hunter winning. No extra money for Hunter going fwd because all terms was already settled and does not include a bump

Jett has the highest bonus structure. Hunters title is worth zero in 3 years when Honda contract is up, if he haven't secured more titles.

You are so lost.

It was cringe watching that interview of Deegan before moto 2.  If Jett wanted to hand the title to Hunter he could have tucked the front in the woods section instead of riding 35 minutes through pain at a slower pace.  And watching Jett struggle all year riding compromised and Dr. Deegan diagnosed the injury (Round 4-ish in the series) when he said “Jett can’t really use the ankle as an excuse from here on” basing his logic on the fact that Jett could still do Jett things (1-1) while riding on a very compromised ankle.

Simple, they are have class and they are a couple of the best riders in the world.

Brian has taught Haiden to use hate and anger to fuel his drive. To create and manufacture things that will fuel the fire.

Sadly, Haiden is an incredible phenomenon on 2 wheels. You cant buy that.

Eventually we all see things differently as we age. We look back on our parents, our upbringing and see things more clearly.

I still feel Haiden will come around and quit being a brat.  Have some tact ffs.

I’d like to agree with you about HD growing and maturing.. but has the rest of his family done that?

A friend of mine broke the same bone Jett did (talus) rock climbing after a piece of protection failed. It's been over two years and he still is dealing with effects of it, and for the first year had difficulty mountain biking. It's a very serious and tricky injury, no idea why people are curious why Jett is still having issues

Seems like it took Herlings several seasons to get back as well.

They talk about the Lawrence family getting more money if Jett wins.  Are Jett and Hunters parents getting paid by Honda or do Jett and Hunter kick them $s (not begrudging it if they do, I know they sacrificed their whole lives to get the brothers to this point.)  Just curious, because I have never heard it discussed this way with any other rider.

Why do you find it hard to understand? Do you have a big brother you look up to? This moment in time was way different from the others.

Jett was on the verge of tears after beating Hunter in Las Vegas last fall because he took it from him. Jett wanted to pass Prado. Had nothing to do with points gap. Look at how Jett acted after Unadilla.

More than one person predicted exactly what Jett was going to do after that Unadilla race. Jett has millions and has plenty of titles. He cared more about Hunter winning one, especially after how he lost the SX title.

LOL..Not sure why, but had the impression you were one of the more level headed guys on the forum.

Oh well, there goes that impression.

No, he did that because he didn’t want to see his brother lose the title from going down in a first turn crash.

It wasn't just one injury though. I think he broke his ankle at the beginning of 2019, which made him miss half the season. Then right after he just came back someone (idk if it was Seewer or Jasikonas) ran over his foot again at a sighting lap and he was out again. He looked like the worst version of himself when he came back for the last couple of races (also too early I think, so understandable).

2020 he actually looked kinda good after his return, just got back into the groove and then had a massive crash which left him with injured vertebra and he was out again for the rest of the year. 2021 he was back to full speed.

So it wasn't just the ankle, it was a case of multiple injuries

I think it's mindblowing how fast Jett came back from both his ACL and his Talus, he shouldn't even been out there this summer. Wild that he still smoked everyone but Hunter. In the race thread I was also calling for Jett to throw the race, but once they confirmed that he injured his ankle again, it made sense how he rode.

So far the best Jett we have seen might have been his rookie year in 2023, which is wild. I really hope he can make a couple years without injury going forward.

So is Deegs a quitter or not just not good enough he can't get through traffic as a faking Jett couldn't either? Since Deegs ended up 16th in moto 1.

So either a quitter, or really really poor racer. You chose 🤦😅

Sexton, Stewart and I'm sure others I can't remember, went from 40th to FIRST.

By "deegs", do you mean Lips Deegan Jr.? The loudmouth pudgy kid?

Wait till HE gets hurt, which he will, it's a matter of when.  The way he rides, he was lucky to make it throiugh a season on 450s.

That won't last.

Gotcha so the rationale of this camp is.

  1. Jett threw the race by getting injured enough to need surgery for Hunter to win the title.
  2. The Lawrence family lost out on 100’s of thousands of dollars with this intentional decision.
  3. Jett’s injury was fake but he has to keep the story going so he is going in to have surgery.
  4. Jett’s injury was fake but he is going to sit out the SMX series to lose out on another $1m to keep narrative.

    sounds logical.

Forgot to mention, "Superduperfantasticgnarlymotocross" is a sideshow to keep the mouthbreathers spending money.

What a snooze.

Weigand can pound his pud on TV all he likes, it doesn't change that fact.

Idk why people hate the SMX playoffs. We get extra racing, the riders get more money. Do you guys really care that much when they call it a championship? Everyone who cares a little bit about this sport would never compare it to a SX/MX title anyways, so I don't think it's a bad deal. Just enjoy the extra racing we get.

I've seen comments in the past where people said "bring back Monster cup", but Monster cup always only had like half of the factory riders out there because nobody cared about it and nobody made any money from it (except for the one guy who occasional won all three races).

Personally- because I'd rather the riders get more time off.... they've all certainly earned it... they dont make that much and it extends their season by 3 more weeks... the guys (riders, mechanics, media, etc) are already burnt the F out and this just makes it even worse...

Then.... the tracks and venues are bad... outdoor tracks w one rhythm section, just to make suspension tuning impossible.. held at reallyyy low end venues... I want a roof over my head with air conditioning... not sitting on some grass (or drag strip benches) out in the middle of bfe...

Then... they hype it up in a stupid way... the world championship playoffs is laughably stupid... it's not a world championship,  nor is it a playoff.... like da fukk??? Mec tracks were sooo cool... these tracks are just head scratchers....

Yes he had the interview but still pushed out the narrative that he can't say the conspiracy people are completely wrong and crazy.

Go and listen to the Matthes/DB podcast after the Dazzy interview, just constant talk about "nobody" knows except the number 1 etc. Just fueling the shit to the absolute maximum, especially DB.

I have zero issues if the Lawrence family does zero interviews and content with these people going forward.

If you re read the press release it sounds like he is going to stay in Vail post surgery to do rehab - they would have some serious foot and ankle PTs on staff there. He's definitely not fucking around with his recovery this time.

There is nothing logical about any of that, and those are not points that I made. I said that Jett probably did aggravate his foot more at some point before or early in the race. I also said that aside from that and apart from that, I would not be surprised if there was talk about sitting out SMX to let his foot heal since it has been bothering Jett all season.

Given that, I believe that Jett intentionally went slower to let Hunter by because he didn’t want to see his brother lose the title by going down in the first turn. Jett showed up in the second moto at a much higher pace, beat Hunter, and then gave what seemed to me like an interview that did not come across as completely authentic.

No conspiracy, no betting, no pre-planning.  Just a guy who saw his saw his brother go down and didn’t want it to end like that.

Jett needs to sit this one out, so he can be at the top of his game in SX when he gets hurt again.

Yeah, except for the five AMA titles, two regional SX titles, three time SMX winner, two time MXoN winner, and already in the top ten on most of the all-time win lists, he could be the next Robbie Reynard.

Ask Pierce Brown if he'd rather have the extra time off, or the $180k he got for winning the final round a couple of years ago.

So, I haven't read the whole thing.  But here's what I got from what I read.  Deegan, by taking out Hunter on accident, exposed that there was a fix in.  Then to help Hunter win the championship, he didn't pass either Jett or Hunter in the 1st moto, placing 16th. Then, in 2nd moto, he double proves Jett wasn't hurt, by getting 2nd in secondmoto from 16th in the 1st moto, proving Jett could in no way, have gotten 11th then 6th in the 2nd, with a way better start.  All of this, from a guy who literally slowed down to let Shimoda catch and pass him, so he could take him out in last years smx.  Just verifying I got that correct?

Sarcasm alert, for those who can't comprehend...

Eventually we all see things differently as we age. We look back on our parents, our upbringing and see things more clearly.

I still feel Haiden will come around and quit being a brat.  Have some tact ffs.

that ship has sailed....deegs will always be a punk just like his sister and brother will always be punks. brian ingrained it in them....
