Spot on. Your paragraph on Chase is exactly right. Although Kawi was rigid in the past, they went all out trying to find a set up for Chase. But for some reason it just didn't work. All that said, I'm hoping Kawasaki finds a way forward here. Maybe shake up the management? I still don't buy the "Kawi can't win" argument. He won 2 SX races on it.

Dude left Honda to be the number one guy. Then he left that team because he had issues. Now he's leaving another team because he had issues. The issue is Chase. When he's at his next stop and only wins a few races and the brothers, Deegs, and Prado are smoking him most of the time, what will his next excuse be?

These riders invest so much time and money into fitness, and I believe they spend very little on other parts of themselves that could help just as much...learning now dirt bikes work (from suspension to clutches to geometry to top ends), learning how dirt bikes work would help them set them up better...to public speaking, public relation skill, learning how to handle themselves in public and talk in public would do wonders for their image and public perception. Why invest some time and money and learn how to work on bikes? Why not invest some time and money and learn...

It was also the best equipment at the time. Who knows what people will be riding 50 years from now looking back at today's bikes like they are dinosaurs. Look at 70's "muscle cars". They were badass for sure, but some of today's minivans are as "fast" as those cars were.
