Star isnt letting Davies go. His style is made for a 450, Jett 2.0.

Davies persona, he is all business.

He reminds me of Ivan Vasilyevich Drago and Ive wanted to make the correlation for some time.

For those of you who know, you will know what I mean.

There is no way cringe lord gonna allow Davies on "his" 450 team... he won't let anyone faster than him be on that team, including sexton...

i don't think anyone makes that decision other than Bobby Regan.....

"The Kawi is fine" ppl are just burying their head in the sand. Remember 2022 when JA21 won 7 SX races and had a career best season? Won 2 MX races too. And then the next year the results fell off a cliff and never recovered? They introduced a new model in '23 and since then the team has been a massive dumpster fire. Maybe this new gen Kawi will be better, but it will be several years until they are able to attract the talent that is capable of more than MAYBE 1 win a year. Kawi is in a slump. Like Yamaha in the late 00's early 10's. But corporate Kawi thus far seems uninterested or unwilling to make the changes that Yamaha did to regain relevance.

Yamaha won an SX and MX title on late 2000s then brought out the 2010 and took them 8 years to right that ship. The kawies are way better than any 10 -17 yzs

I've been thinking about the history of this team quite a lot recently.

They were lucky and fortunate to have these riders, RC, JS7, RV, and Eli, the first 3 were soo exceptional it didn't matter what they did with the bike, these riders won it themselves, they all have one thing in common, they aren't setup princesses they just get along with the program.

I believe the flaws in the team/bike showed it's head during Tomac era, if you go back and watch his bike it looked like shit comparing to the other top teams but Tomac being who he is he also made it work.

A lot of people have skipped over the AC era, how would AC's career gone if he was on a different team? he also had a lot of weirdo crashes on that bike.

If Kawy are serious in their race team in the US heads should be rolling already, in any other professional sport heck even regular person job/business, if something like that happened heads would roll from the Prado situation here we are a year later and nothing has happened even with Sexton leaving.

Lol kawi won their last championship in 2020, do you expect them to win one in 2027? Looks like it will take them at least 8 years to right that ship..

And it took Honda like 16 years so I guess they are twice as bad?

For the 800 millionth time. It’s not the bike. It’s the dumb ass team tuning the bike. Mega dollar factory program can’t build a motor better than twisteds first attempt, can’t build suspension better than stealing kitchens set up from pc, can’t build a clutch to last a Mudder on and on.

The teams a joke:

I guess? Honda completely restructured in that time so I think you have a good point even though I dont think you meant to.

Actually no, cause Honda won many 250 titles, just not 450. Kawi hasn’t been able to win anything since 2019 whether 250 or 450.

Kitchen, Thrasher, Hammaker, and Adams have some outdoor potential. Don't count them out yet!

And yes, I get your real point. Mookie and Marchbanks aren't likely a title threat.

Could turn that question around and say who is going to take the chance on Chase?

Kove would take Chase.

I was hoping Beta would take him.  Seems like people have high praise for the bike.

I may buy one here shortly.

It would be a spectacular change of scenery if Chase were to sign with, and competitively race, Betas.

Obviously Kitchen is a likely transfer.

My wife and I were talking, I think there is potential Kawi flashes some serious money and  Cole Davies makes the jump. I just don’t see Davies and Deegan working on the same team long term.

Others like Beaumer and Shimoda are likely bids too

It is an interesting question. Right now they have 2 B riders for the first time in a long time: they really don’t have a race winner let alone a title guy no hate comms towards garret or Malcolm.

They are solid riders and are incredible but neither are expected to win a title inside or out:

So who is the next title guy to go there?

So the team sucks and they can't build a competitive bike...But it's not the bike.. Makes sense.. So yeah it's still 100% the shitty bike, got it.

Not the bike (completely). It sounds like at some point Fahie pulls a power play, to intentionally show you who’s boss. If you bow then you except his lackluster provision, if you buck his authority then he makes your life hell. A rider that can work within these parameters makes it work.

They can't get title contenders to sign in MXGP either. They threw a bunch of money at DeWolf and he turned them down. I think they went after someone else too, but I cannot remember the name. It might have been Febvre.

If I remember correctly, they went after Fernandez as well.
