I was going to say something similar: Is it a d--- thing to say that he really hasn't produced anything of great significance across his US tenure? A few race wins in 250 SX regional. Always in the top 10, but in reality not a consistent top tier talent. Wishing him all the best of course, however I don't see this departure to be much of a big deal.

I dont think the general public see's Chase' dad or understands the situation behind the scenes. Most people just see Chase wadding his brains out, jumping from honda to KTM to kawasaki, and the up and down results. He is a 450 SXand MX champion on different bikes. He has beat Jett straight up before. He went from 40th to 1st at hangtown. Chase is every bit of talented as Jett, or anyone. However his family dynamic is not like the Lawerence family. Its not like the Deegans. Those two families understood the same thing. Once their boys got to...

I think Rick said that to create emotion...maybe in Chase, and obviously in you. Stone cold truth is hard to swallow sometimes.

Chase should be able to podium on any factory race bike regardless of color. They aren’t that dissimilar. Figure the bike out, make some adjustments and ride the damn thing.

If you aren’t paying state income taxes in CA, then either you make next to nothing or you’ve gotten lucky that they haven’t caught you yet. CA actually has the highest top marginal income tax rate of any state in the country now at 13.3%. As for the salary, the median household income in Orange County, CA (which is much higher than CA as a whole) is about $116,000. This is a supervisory, not senior manager or director role. Most people in CA don’t make that much more than everyone else. They just make sacrifices to live in the best...

I completely agree. For some, the family aspect works as long as accountability is present. Chase seems to think he is not the issue. It's the bike, it's the team, it's this or that... I feel like Tomac, Deegan, and the rest of the family environment riders all accept the situation they are in and work around shortcomings to find a solution. They do not differentiate between their success and the teams success. Chase is being enabled to have a shitty outlook. It starts with his dad, which anybody that grew up around Chase knows, Keir thinks his shit doesn't...

RJ isnt wrong, at all. There's been multiple generational talents across different sports that have been derailed by their women and their families. Although they mean well, they often times are distractions at best. For CS sake, and the sports sake. I hope he can peel off from his dad, create professional space from his family and girlfriend, and get focused in. The sport is better when we have 40-1 hangtown chase. Scatterbrain tuck the front end chase isnt good for anyone.

People complaining about this dudes premium parking. Wait till they sign up for Lorettas and see its $878 for camping and wrist bands. Then $250 a class, $200 an extra vehicle, and $125 for a pit vehicle lol.

Fahey not being out would be the biggest surprise (if you ignore the fact that this is motocross 🙃). As Kawasaki, you have to make a change no matter who is at fault - Fahie got the benefit of the doubt with Prado, but now that Chase is struggling, you just have to let him go. (If true) I hope this can spark new life in the Kawasaki team and help them shake the negative image that has been building for years.

Archview was the place I’d watch kids dominate the B class and then pull over on the last lap because they didn’t want to get moved up to the A class by the AMA. Wanted to remain B for LL. Meanwhile the kids that are a distant 3rd or 4th end up winning and they get possibly pushed out of B. Now the 3rd and 4th place kids make LL in B only to be racing what should and could be A riders. I’m sure it happens in C class to B class as well. That’s LL integrity. I always...

Unless things have changed since I hosted a regional at one of my tracks about 20 years ago, parking fees, practice fees, vehicle fess, and admission are all set by the promoter, not MX sports. MX sports made their money off area and regional qualifier fees that are collected at the area events and sent in for the regionals before the event. Sure sounds a lot like this track went overboard on trying to capitalize on getting this event. MX Sports was most likely not involved in the reserved parking fiasco. They obviously do need to put a little more...

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but there should be zero alternates for a regional. Plenty of areas to try and qualify. Alternates should only be for x amount that missed out making it through a regional to LL.

A little story about Renen. I've liked their designs for a while, so I ordered some gear. Super cool that they have sizes like 35 which I've never seen anywhere before. The gear showed up fast, and was clearly very well made, with more durable materials than the big brands I've been wearing forever. Everything was great, but the calf area was too tight for my hockey player legs. I emailed them only to see if they had a line with more stretch in that area, and the response was very surprising. They asked that I send them back with...
