Rick is not scared to say what many of us are all thinking.

Sexton is Godly on a moto bike when he has his brain dialed in and bike working for him.  Hoping he gets back to form.

RJ isnt wrong, at all. There's been multiple generational talents across different sports that have been derailed by their women and their families. Although they mean well, they often times are distractions at best.

For CS sake, and the sports sake. I hope he can peel off from his dad, create professional space from his family and girlfriend, and get focused in.

The sport is better when we have 40-1 hangtown chase. Scatterbrain tuck the front end chase isnt good for anyone.

new Team Chase should be Sports Psychologist, Hypnotist, Exorcist (if all else fails).

Perfect opportunity now with injury recovery to block out everything and refocus his moto life. Forget having a nice summer off to enjoy things, be a rehab monster go MIA from socials and disappear from bad influences, make the hard choices and come back refreshed from head to toe. This may be the perfect, last, chance to turn it around. Definition of Insanity is keep doing the same things and expect different results...

I couldn't get past RJ's glasses! Anyhow, if he thinks Kawasaki is the place to be, then I think Kawasaki needs to have a come to Jesus moment with their team, too. The last couple riders, and many in the past, have been saying the same thing about management's unwillingness to accommodate their top rider. Chase should probably listen to RJ, though. It sounds like he needs to do his own soul searching.

I think some families add to the situation and others take. I have no idea about his family, but close family works for a lot of riders (Tomac, Deeg, Lawrence’s, etc).

Never heard anything neg/positive about his circle. Wonder Has there been issues? Or just folks reaching ..

I completely agree. For some, the family aspect works as long as accountability is present. Chase seems to think he is not the issue. It's the bike, it's the team, it's this or that... I feel like Tomac, Deegan, and the rest of the family environment riders all accept the situation they are in and work around shortcomings to find a solution. They do not differentiate between their success and the teams success. Chase is being enabled to have a shitty outlook. It starts with his dad, which anybody that grew up around Chase knows, Keir thinks his shit doesn't stink...

Regardless of intention, this is a results-based business. Chase has all the potential in the world, but his support group is enabling this self-destructive behavior and 'woe is me' attitude. RJ nailed this on the head. Kawasaki is the best place for Chase because him moving to any other team where he won't be #1 will make it even worse once the first issue comes up. Just my two cents.

I admire the hell out of RJ, he was fierce back in the day...but I just can't handle listening to him. I really can't put my finger on why.

Same goes for Emig and Ryan Hughes. Any podcasts with any of those 3 I just scroll by.

No hate, I just do not vibe with those guys.

A lot of times when I hear RJ talk about current riders I think he's a little too gentle, maybe because he doesn't want to come off as "in my day." But RJ is the fucking man. I'd trust him more than most past champions, and it's nice to hear him let loose.

Sometimes its hard to vibe with winners who understand the work and sacrifice it takes to be successful and don't sugar coat the truth..

I was more of a Ward/Bailey guy back in the day.

RJ is just too much to me. His break dancing. Over the top Christianity, which he has admitted to recently. His Rodil cup speech chastising the other riders. Him making a big deal about going over to Lecheins pits at a golden state round to kick his ass.

Too much look at/listen to me how awesome I am vibe.

No hate, he is one of the greats on the bike and no one was as competitive as RJ for sure and he is a solid man...but i just can't handle listening to the guy.

If anyone would know, it's RJ. Unfortunately for Chase everyone in his corner probably thinks they are the ones doing what is best for him. It is probably too late already.

In sextons defense... none of these top pros have ever lead a normal life... none had a real childhood... and all are vastly over worked and over stressed... amazing all of them don't go coo-coo for Coco puffs at some point during their careers...

I would love to see sexton pull a k dub and take a yr or two off.... might be the only thing that will help him at this point...

😆 I stared at those frames the entire time.

Get on a Suzuki, Chase.  80% of the problem solved.

Is Kawasaki the best place for Chase at this point? Maybe, but that’s far from obvious - not all relationships are repairable. Otherwise, sounds like solid advice.
