Ramrod Added a reply to Prado/Prada

JT$ on his review pod thinks it was a lost opportunity Prado did not ride press day practice at Lakewood and perhaps his focus on SX this year put him behind on his outdoor prep or focus. He's good but still has some more upside is possible.

Ramrod Added a reply to BPC-157 for Moto injury or recovery?

I got some BPC off Amazon and who knows what was in it or where it came from I realized so tossed it. It had a spelling error on the label so that tipped me off. Couldn't tell if it worked but heard it does.

On Saturdays, yes. The rest of the time, I believe camping on other days is only permitted for the bigger events (Motofest, World Vet, etc).

Chuckie108 is spot on. CMC Golden States were as big as a National back then, it was crazy how many entries there would be in the opening rounds of the series. Both tracks would be packed all day. Stu ran an awesome program. There are also tons of GP trails in the hills, I was more into moto, but the GP's I did there were a blast. Here's a soso pic of Animal Leap from 1989. If you went straight instead of turning right at Talladega, that's basically where it was. I wish i still had that custom painted JT...

I got to race the vet track back in 2012 when it was REM. It was one of the most fun races I can remember, a challenge without feeling like it was do or die.

There’s also miles of single track in the hills above both tracks going all the way back to the 15 fwy/ amphitheater that get used for off road races. I’ve even raced on the CHP road course that is out past the truck track during a 24hr of Glen Helen. They also hosted a hard enduro for years there, probably the steepest hills I’ve ever gone down were in the hills of Glen Helen.

https://socalvetmx.org/ The old guys and the almost old guys have a race on the main June 14th. They’re a fairly low key fun group to race with. Usually 16-18 minute motos depending on the class. They have a support class too so you don’t need to be old.

Totally forgot to mention the ridges 🤣🤣 miles of ridges up on the mountain. There’s one above the hill then another on the other side above the truck track. These are used when it rains for GPs. They’ll run them for stuff like the endurance races too. 6-10-24 hour. the NGPC they typically rent these bad ass water trucks to run them for that too.

Here's some history: Originally opened in the 70's as Arroyo Cycle Park in the same location as the Vet/REM/Arroyo track is at now. I believe it only ran for a few years. Then at some point, Bud gets the lease in the 80's and opens a sand drag strip which was located where it says "Glen Helen Raceway" on brocster's map above. If you look at it, you can still see how the layout was built around the drag strip. This area is used for parking now and as the pits for the endurance series. Around this time, they also...
