Because the X is going to sell at a minimum of 5 to 1 of the straight moto version. If Kawasaki is smart XCs will be the first off the production line. Once these are through the initial surge of sales and you can actually find one on a showroom floor that isn't presold those will be the moto bike. The X will be sold out for a long long time.

They said the bike would be unveiled here on Tuesday...looking forward to seeing it in person.

Looks nice! Kawasaki is the only Japanese dirtbike I have never owned. Although I did have a KZ750 that was my first street bike and loved it. If I was twenty years younger, I'd be seriously looking at this as my next bike.

I don’t follow MXGP, and even I know how this move worked out for Seewer.

That makes sense because we have no Tomac, Sexton, JCoop, Plessinger, Mookie, Savatgy. The US basically has Deegan, Hampshire and Marchbanks as the only remaining factory riders.

Bump, because I don't think some people here realize just how incredible this is. Having a Norwegian rider go to the U.S. and earn a fill-in ride with Factory Kawasaki is an absolutely massive achievement. The amount of sacrifice, dedication, and hard work it took to get there is hard to put into words. What makes it even more impressive is that he didn't grow up as one of the factory-supported mini kids in the U.S., surrounded by the massive support systems, resources, and opportunities that so many top prospects have. I don’t think Chase leaves, I think if Kawi makes a play for Jo, the team is Chase & Jo and the new Kawi leadership does everything they can to make champions again.
