I’m about done with all the back and forth about what’s his name and Jett, so how about a bit of appreciation for the number 96?! Just a round ago Hunter achieved something no one has has; going 1-1 against his brother, then this week he straight up runs Jett down and pulls away. Second moto he goes from sixth to the front via a couple of laps that were very reminiscent of a true Tomac Beast Mode, i.e. he drops his lap times to several seconds faster than anyone else and absolutely charges to the front. I disagree. Danger Boy is out of the discussion for starters. On to the others. 'On any given day' means there is no requirement for any special circumstances. I would argue with all the riders you've mentioned they can't beat Jett except when there are particuraly favourable circumstances for them, for instance: Jett with early season bike set up problems (when Tomac beat him in SX), bad track for Jett (Sexton at Washougal,). Only Hunter is close and even then Jett's injury cannot be discounted (despite Donger's infantile chirping). I expect Jett to go 1-1 at Redbud.

I dont think the general public see's Chase' dad or understands the situation behind the scenes. Most people just see Chase wadding his brains out, jumping from honda to KTM to kawasaki, and the up and down results. He is a 450 SXand MX champion on different bikes. He has beat Jett straight up before. He went from 40th to 1st at hangtown. Chase is every bit of talented as Jett, or anyone. However his family dynamic is not like the Lawerence family. That guy should be on a Triumph 450 in the US shaking hands, waving, and being British on a British bike, with an already established US fan base. Missed opportunity for Triumph IMO. I'd put Max a c-hair ahead of Jordon.

Looks like Anderson is back and is racing Mammoth Mountain MX this year. Big bike classes are today, Saturday and Sunday! Good to see him back, hopefully getting ready for the late summer/fall SMX races and WSX title defense.

About a month ago I went out on a whim and found a 2026 BETA 350RX within a 4 hour drive. I’ve been wanting a second bike and it be a 2-stroke. I don’t have a good handle on the bike yet as Mother Nature keeps raining on all scheduled open rides. So, I’ll just race the local Pro-Am this weekend and report back on how bad I got my ass kicked. 😂 I did the suspension through Race-Tech, full FMF exhaust, carb rejet, and a Rekluse clutch. 🤘

6/15/2026 5:44pm I am pretty sure the 2028 models will not have PDS. The 27's are a carry over on the current chassis, so why ef with it. The 28 will be all new and no more PDS. Not because of performance, because Bajja wants to cut cost and streamline their products. Too many different models now. Makes sense to me.
