Been watching practice this am in Italy and what a dusty ,slippery and sketchy track this is!! They must be in shock after thunder valley last weekend and then having to race this track today!!

You’re incorrect (as usual). He won the title in 2018, then had mediocre seasons (with no wins) in 2019, 2020, and 2021 before switching to Kawasaki in 2022 and winning 7 races. He is literally probably the worst example you could have brought up to illustrate your narrative.

I disagree. When you have an unlimited supply of someone elses money, its really easy to get totally lost. A smart team with tight purse strings can do stuff better, because they dont waste time and money 'trying things' because they can. I have seen it first hand, there is nothing more dangerous than a mediocre engineer with a big budget.

Rumor: One of these days will Kay de Wolf sign a big contract with KTM for multiple years, this to replace Lucas Coenen who goes to the USA. He had multiple options to race a 250 bike in the USA (Pro Circuit, Triumph, ...) but he will put that dream behind bars. Liam Everts is one of the targets for Yamaha, this to race a MXGP bike.

There was some talk about this in the thread about the Lawrences not doing MXdN. Personally I think Beaton/ Webster/ Cannon would be best. Minear and Cannon are probably similar speed, but Jake’s already in Europe, familiar with the track and the big one; his bike and team are there.

I hope they take it easy next year. Their schedule this year is so packed and with moving to the US aswell they basically get 5-6 weeks of actual prep time before A1. Do some selected SX rounds when they feel ready and then and focus on outdoors the first year is what I would like to see. I think specially Lucas will adapt really quick, but 17 SX rounds with just a couple weeks of SX testing for the first time would be crazy.

Seriously. Rushing Lucas into the 17 race sx meatgrinder as a 450 rookie is fraught with disaster. It would be criminal to loses seasons off the career of what's looking like a Jett Lawrence level talent in Lucas because of Circuscross

I completely agree with all of your insights. I really felt like Hunter was going to finally get that monkey off of his back. He has the speed, the fitness, etc. I think he needs to believe that he can beat his brother... at this point it is mental. I love watching Jett ride as he reminds me a little bit of Bayle and Pourcel in how effortless he looks on the bike... like he is out for a trail ride! I love watching Hunter too. He's so good and if it weren't for his brother, this guy would be...

My thoughts on Thunder Valley Jett may not have been 100%, but 80-90% of him is still clearly better than 100% of everyone else. Moto 1 was an absolute clinic — he absorbed constant pressure from Hunter, Haiden, and Lucas Coenen while hitting his lines perfectly. Lucas made it interesting on the last lap, but Jett looked like he was cruising and could’ve gone faster if needed. The battle was exciting, but the outcome never felt in doubt. In the second moto, the race was over ten feet out of the gate as Jett ripped another amazing start. Once Hunter...
