Just finished watching the replay, wow what an event!

Herlings is a fucking beast, Webb did incredible given the circumstances, Everts really stepped up, and what an effort for Pancar and Talikvu being privateer guys running top 5 for most of the race(s). Pancar was super fast at the last MXoN too, he really knows how to shine at the right time.

Loved watching the motos today, some amazing racing and that last moto it went down to the wire. Belgium deserved that one.

Is say no more than 40k spectators but prob 30k. Nearly everyone on the hill brought a folding chair & took up x3 the space. One french granny was very protective of the 3 square meters infront of her & refused anyone standing there so she could stay seated the whole time. They should ban chairs from half the hill & make it standing only.

Last time i was there, chairs were futile, it was shoulder to shoulder , no point even taking one in, that was the year Anstie got landed on, there is a bit more space now , but the crowd did not look as crammed as it was that day .

The club figure will be out soon enough.

He hasn't been racing for months. Tried to ride in July was it, couldn't?

If he it still this bad, that doesn't look well for SX 2027. He needs to start riding like tomorrow to be ready.

My guess he sits out SX 27, aims for outdoors. Unless he can have a surgery to fix it with minimum downtime. Nerves csn be like 2-8 weeks.

Some nerve injuries fully recover in weeks... others never fully recover (for example- forkner, ac, ryno)... I had a similar injury to Lucas about 2 yrs ago..... my left leg is still half the size of my right, despite throwing the kitchen sink at it.... I had another nerve injury years ago where it was back to 100 percent in 3 months... Lucas hasn't really even ridden since his injury... telling me it hasn't gotten much better thus far... and you know he's getting the best of the best for treatment....

Canada made the A final, so there is reason to celebrate as a Canadian! Dylan had a great ride, but to finally get in the fight on the A side was awesome. Congrats to team USA, these dudes stepped up, and Cooper was a beast, just so impressive. Kitchen's crash was so unfortunate. Beaumer was also impressive on the 450-pretty big swing coming into this event on this track for his maiden voyage on the big bike. The event was spectacular and while we can mostly agree on infront not helping teams and sharing some revenue, this race is above all else for pressure to perform in a single day event, full of passion and love for representing one's country. No pressure like it in our sport being so focused on the individual rider. Just watch how happy Belgium was for winning! Can't pay for this kind of emotion.

Liam Everts stepped up, well done to him.

I was definitely most stoked for the Everts family watching the podium celebration.  Just a hell of a story. I can’t even imagine what the Everts trophy room looks like at this point.

I haven’t read through the entire thread, but has anyone seen any footage of Forato cleaning out Kitchen floating around??  Gutted for Levi. That must’ve been a brutal last few laps.

I don't have it on film, but saw it in person.  Forato was on the inside coming up the hill right before that little double (where they make the big sweeping left turn), their lines came together and he ran into Kitchen's front wheel.  Not sure it was intentional, IMO a little more of a racing incident

I just finished watching Levi’s post race interview and he seems to shoulder a lot of the blame for leaving the door open.

I did see a ton of cross jumping watching the broadcast, which shouldn’t be surprising at this point, but when it’s guys in the top 5 doing it, it’s just a head scratcher..  That track is already sketchy enough as it is.

Man it sucks to see Lucas still in rough shape. Glad he hung it all out for Belgium. I really hope he is able to mend and be his full self for the series over here.

For most of the moto there was a gap between Forato and Kitchen.

Forato closed it down and, within a few laps, had made the pass. We didn’t even see the pass, so suggesting Forato was pissed is a stretch - and Webb trying to turn it into a “target on our backs” thing is serious cope.

His pass on McLellan was on the broadcast.

Right on cue for your anti American bullshit.

I mean it's pretty laughable to suggest Forato took Kitchen out cause he's an American.. Forato has proven he doesn't mind being aggressive

The guy that impressed me the most over the weekend? Cooper Webb. On a new team, on a new bike, he stepped up & put in valiant rides in all 3 races. That’s the type of guy you want/need on your team. Well done sir.

Btw, did you know that there were 1300 volunteers that made this event happen?

The Belgian press is saying 30k people on Sunday. People have really no clue what 40k or damn 55k people look like... I've been there and to be honest that hill in Ernee isn't that massive as it looks on TV.

Yeah I'm getting a chuckle at every declaring how many people were there today. Did you count them?

To be fair, the Vital demographic does lean towards those that have difficulty counting crowds. That same demographic does also seem to be largely anti-socialism, yet want Infront to ...share money.... Confusing times indeed.
Not a fan of MXGP, but the MXON was well better than most, if not all, of Pro Motocross this year. Legend effort by Webb, spicy as all heck. And Great job Beaumer on stepping up at super short notice and riding a big dog with no prep. Guts to Levi, but heroic to come back out shortly and getting slapped down on the hard stuff like he did

Man what great racing and a great event. Proud of the guys for stepping up and representing the USA! I know its early to start the what ifs and what could have been, but seeing how Herlings absolutely laid wood on everyone, it would have been cool to see where Hunter and Jett would have been in relation to Herlings.

Footage from Forato and Kitchen

That wasn’t a takeout. Kitchen left the door WIDE open.

Footage from Forato and Kitchen

tf takeout my ass 😂 lines came together thats it. Forato had the line, already made the pass almost whole bikelength ahead. Kitchen shouldve checked up a bit, he didnt, he goes down. Everything happens fast so I dont blame him - Racing incident.

Yeah not a takeout from our angle (imo) that said to be fair to Levi from the rider's pov it isn't always easy to tell, especially before you've seen any footage there is. Just racing/lines coming together.

Alberto sounded in his post race interview completely genuine to me when he said he barely noticed any contact or even knew Levi had gone down (or words to that effect), and I'd say the footage backs that up.

I take back everything I said about the Forato "takeout".  That was 100% on Levi.  This video kind of makes Coop's comments before Race 2 sound silly.  Read many other accounts of people who saw it live saying the Levi's front end got sawed off.  Levi basically ran into the back of Forato.

Why was Haarup selected to race for Denmark if he knew he was injured, like he only did 1 lap of practice so he/the team must’ve known it was bad going into the event? They should’ve picked someone else and they could’ve picked up a better result.

What is the ruling for backup riders anyway? Until when is it allowed to replace a rider in the team?

Just curious? Did anyone ask Julien Beamer* if he knew team Latvia was right behind him in race three, and what it meant if they passed him.

I think he did solid.
