Not necessarily a great track these days (lost 1/3rd of the track to a property dispute), but just a great pic of raceday morning at my local club. Track doesnt always get a lot of attention, but when it does it can be pretty good.

in the PR, there's a nice bit about how the electronics actually monitor and adjust the service intervals based on your riding habits while also factoring the terrain. You can't also forget that Jo is (already) the most successful Japanese motocrosser ever, so Honda is unlikely to let their native son change brands simply due to funding concerns. The X is a 6 speed... so really you can just use 2nd as your 1st gear and carry on from there. If you do venture out into the woods.. you've got the best of both. Thats probably how I would justify it anyway.

Techincally speaking, this thing checks all of the boxes. Really interested to see if it has the same type of success that Yamaha did after reversing their motor. From a consumer perspective, they've done a nice job offering quality components (Brembo, Galfer, Excel) and keeping the cost competitive.

My thoughts on Thunder Valley Jett may not have been 100%, but 80-90% of him is still clearly better than 100% of everyone else. Moto 1 was an absolute clinic — he absorbed constant pressure from Hunter, Haiden, and Lucas Coenen while hitting his lines perfectly. Lucas made it interesting on the last lap, but Jett looked like he was cruising and could’ve gone faster if needed. The battle was exciting, but the outcome never felt in doubt. Used a mineral spirit substitute that I picked up, biodegradable like @eeazye mentioned. Might be a similar catalyst for the bad reaction to the filter oil. I hate how strong the odor is on the maxima cleaning agent, but it works really well, so just sticking to that from now on.

Jett is so comfortable with a rider on his back wheel. Like right on his back fender. Pala '23 Chase was glued to that thing. Hangtown last year Eli stalked him. Everyone got all jazzed up. Oh, he's got Jett's number! Never happened. Also Jett's ability to have someone in his rear and just pull out a couple second gap in a couple of sections. He's such a freak. I used this because my normal stuff was out of stock and while I didn't have trouble applying it, cleaning it out was a disaster. It turned into this thick white paste that just made a huge mess. My rinse water was full of it, and it would never seem to completely wash out.. Maybe its just use error, but...
