I’m rooting for Yigit Ali Selek in MXGP. Yes, he’s a full 60 seconds slower than EVERYONE (on a two minute lap) in practice, and that means he’ll be lapped every other lap. But, if he digs deep (and just gets his ass to the start line), he’ll be heading for a guaranteed pair of 17ths and eight points. And he’ll leave the track (if you can call it that) on Sunday as the 37th-ranked rider in the world championship. Something to be proud of.

It would be a huge shame if Oliver wouldn't have a ride for next year. His speed in his rookie MXGP campaign was impressive.

Agree. When you saw Gajser his first clips on the Yamaha, I would have never thought he would have the hardest time to adjust to a new bike. While Herlings his first clips you could see how hard he had to adapt. It's a shame that Coenen got injured, but in all fairness Herlings lost like 4-5 titles due to injuries as well

you have to wonder if having Barry Forschelen at all GPs to 'support' a couple of riders (who ride for teams with their own coaches) really outweight the costs the KNMV has to incur (travel, stay, salary). afaik almost all dutch riders in mxgp, mx2, emx250 and emx125 have their own trainer/coach (or none). Why does he have to be there every GP?

2 factory Yamaha’s where already arranged, supported and serviced by the Hutten Metaal team. Barry Forschelen should have been fired a long time ago. His lack of ethical awereness is shocking. He maintained an extramarital affair with the mother of a youth rider he mentored as national coach. Absolutely unacceptable behavior, and given that many have been dismissed from the...

The coach of the Dutch MXoN Team, Barry Forschelen, must be fired. For years, he has been making insane decisions regarding his selection. Leaving Herlings at home last year?????!!! Choosing Moosdijk this year simply because he has a personal interest regarding the Kosak MX Team. Fire that idiot. Fire him. We want Marc de Reuver as Captain.

Yeah your rumour is true. Will be confirmerd today or tomorrow. Yamaha already had a 250 ready to go for Coldenhoff. Maybe Roan is picked because Doensen (who trains with Barry) is going to Kosak in 2027.

Forschelen does it again! Jeez, he already wasn't that popular with the Dutch fans after his decisions of last year. I reckon this one won't help him either.

The fact that de Wolf decides that he isn’t riding the MX2 bike while doing so would be in the best interest of the TEAM tells us who is in charge, and that isn’t Barry Forschelen.

Rumour is that Barry Forschelen, who is in charge of team NL is picking Roan van de Moosdijk for the MX2 class over Glenn Coldenhoff or Kay Karssemakers who both are willing and able to go. After the clownshow Forschelen pulled off last year regarding Herlings, I’m not suprised one bit if this is true. With all respect you can’t...

Maybe Team America could fund the trip by selling VIP experiences. What we will need from France to make this happen is roping off all the prime viewing spots, set up some EZ ups so 300-400 people can comfortably watch the race without all those pesky smoke bomb wielding Euros touching us.

My take on this. Why not make a YouTube record of this? Surely with Deegs following they could recoup the outlay. I thought Yamaha paid for Stars 450 team? What does Yamaha USA (or even Japan as it’s not a good look for the brand). How big an ‘entourage’ is going, should only be 1 mechanic per rider???? Who paid when Zacho, Anderson & JCooper went over early to get sand practice a couple of yeas ago?

The point is that riders 20 years ago were thrilled to go and represent their country. These guys made way less money and didn't even think of the injury risk. The top racers today like Deegan already have multi generational wealth, fly the flag for clicks and followers and still won't go. If they have an injury that is understandable but some are driven by inflated egos and modern culture and don't give a shit about anything but themselves. The fans are just something else to exploit
