When you work in professional motorsport, as opposed to being an excited amateur outfit, the biggest thing that hits you is how hard it is to get stuff done.
Everything is a committee, and a lot of it is empire building.
Just saw that Oriol Oliver will ride for JM Racing ZXMOTO.
That’s a good start for ZXMoto

Bit niche but do any of the Brits know what Mewse is doing next year. I see he’s leaving DT’s setup .
Yes. 😂
I heard a rumour he has signed for Triumph UK. Might get to ride some Euro GPs & there was talk of some AMA nationals. Id expect an announcement fairly soon
Triumph I heard with selected GPs
He needs to step up to GPs for sure, hes wasted just riding BritMX and winning it year after year,he needs stiffer competition to bring his speed on
Honest question, does Brumann come from money or influence or something? He is a good rider no doubt but year after year he is on a team competing at all the fly aways not to mention all the pre race interviews on TV when far more deserving riders go without support.
He has for sure decent backing, but not sure if it comes from family capital or if he has good private sponsors.
In regard of attention and interviews from MXGP it’s the OAT status that comes with this. Whenever you sign-up fro the complete championship you get that attention. When you don’t Infront / MXGP will ignore you as much as possible media-wise.
At the last few rounds, i had heard that he was going to Triumph, and i had half heard /assumed that Watson was going elsewhere off the whispers of him doing some AMA.
But with Askew leaving, i can see that essentially being a 2 man 450 effort, budget is tight everywhere, and they would be spread pretty thin doing EMX250/GP, all the UK races and AMA.
What will be interesting is how Mewse goes on the K-Tech suspension.
The KOVE project is death in the water if I can believe the rumors. Their isn't much cooperation between the "Factory team" & KOVE is what they say...
... A few guys tested the bike, no one liked the handling or lack of power apparently.
I can imagine. With all respect to anyone’s effort, this is not a team who can run a factory program, let alone develop a bike to a competitive level.
They are running one in British Supermoto with a young guy on it who is very fast, but he is literally a 14 year old boy that weighs 60kg tops... he led a race on one of the fastest tracks recently, so it isnt 'slow', but it may not be MX levels of fast.
Gatedrop has wrote about now too...
Cas Valk and Rick Elzinga both riding Enduro for WPM in Netherlands, Valk on KTM , Elzinga on Kawasaki.
That’s not a full time gig, just a couple of races for both
Pit Row
They're taking the 'Herlings route' , just keep on racing😉
Ivano van Erp announced he will retire from the sport, which is understandble with his list of injuries at the pre-season race this year in Oss
Steensels indeed parted ways with Kove. He stated they were unable to provide the necessary budget to compete in a full MXGP season at a professional and competitive level. But he has something else up his sleeve...
Not sure what this means for Kove. Other team manager or no team at all?
A shame.. but at least he has made a recovery .
Lots of guys realising that at some point, you just have to walk away.
At this point, i dont think they need to bother. They are selling enough bikes as it is, to people who buy on cost alone. That market isnt going away any time soon. Its one thing to be Triumph or Ducati throwing money at winning, but Kove are spending nothing and outselling them everywhere.
The suprise is, that it is a surprise.
No offense to TBS/Steensels, but how can you talk all year that you are going to run a factory GP team and when its time to have riders signed the budget isnt there....
What happened to Quentin Prugnieres? I guess the paddock moved on from him pretty quick
yes I am helping him along with a few very nice industry people from here and the Netherlands.
He is racing Enduro this weekend in Europe on a badass KX300 to make sure his knee is ok before he travels to California.
there may be bigger news in a month or so...
Because all year they will have been telling him the money will be coming. He realised it wont, so he is out (if he was ever in ) .
Not uncommon.
Being maybe harsh , the fact he was chosen in the first place , probably told us how serious it really was .
