FIL passed at 315am. Heavy morning and hard to be in the right frame of mind. I managed a 27th after starting dead last. I was second gate from inside. Kelleher on my right, Browning on my left. Kelleher hit me so hard 10' out I hit willy and i shut down. Picked people off the whole moto though and the top 2 were the only ones to lap me. Hard to race in this frame of mind. I agree, the VIP stuff is getting bad. If you don't buy the $300+ whatever dollar VIP experience you're left with peanuts. The hill at the ski jump was the best spot I could find this year for a decent view of the track. We did that for first motos then went to Joey's camp at the torco turn for the rest of the motos and pretty much bullshitted with people we don't see that much anymore. The monetization of unpaid athletes always feels in bad taste to me. I'm also curious about the legal loopholes they must jump through to not get hit by lawsuits and NIL reform that groups like the NCAA have been subject to. I don't think Lorettas started that way but (as others have stated in other threads) the whole thing just kind of feels like a game of extracting revenue. 36 classes worth of fees and now they get Grandpas $40 so he can watch kiddo race. Flo brags about their # of members but I'd be more curious to know...
