Jenny Taft was the best pro by far, I knew we wouldn't keep her for long.

Nevertheless, back in the day, I had a huge crush on Erin Bates...

Good ole Erin Bates, she did well.  Also had a fling with Reedy and those Warlocks made the rounds online for a bit. If you know you know.

I am more inclined to vote for Jenny Taft with two hands, but alas, Erin had her place and time in a great era of moto

I like Erin Bates. She's good looking and very good on the mic. But for pure hot body, nobody beats Diana Dahlgren. Her backside is unreal

I was at Steel city taking some photos of an off camber corner  and   right after I took this pic I noticed  her doing a pre race report . I noticed I could read her lips. She was talking to her camera guy and saying " There's that tall guy that's been taking photos of me, he's taking some right now".   And I felt my face turn bright red I felt like I was some sort of strange stalker . I didn't have many photos of her. I can not remember and specific photos of her other than this one.   But I did try and get a good photo of good looking girls for my website when I was posting race photos to help drive traffic to my website.   I went to 6 or so Nationals that year and I defiantly stick out being 6'9".

That look on her face was after she informed the camera guy about me.....  I'll admit it sounds creepy now to have been reading her lips. But it wasn't meant to be. I was trying to see what she was reporting. And got a funny story instead.

Her front side, not so much.

Erin is the best, and that era of coverage was the high water mark.  When I watch races from 2012-2014ish it has a such a different feel.  The audio with Speed, and then Fox, was a lot better than it is now. The bike noise was louder, and more focused than it is now.  And it's probably an unpopular opinion, but Ralph and Fro were nowhere near as bad as the rhetoric made them seem.

I’d take them, Ralph and Stutterin’ Jeff, over the Limey and Mr. Potato-head.

Jenny Taft is a real pro. If you look how she handled the USA team coverage for FOX this year for the world cup soccer, but also her other work from WNBA to College Football and even battlebots! She handles everything with the same professional care.

But Erin was also great!

Erin and that generation of female moto personalities were far better than the crap we get now.

Now they talk way to much trying to pretend they know crap about the sport. Someone should tell them we can figure out they are reading from a script.

Does anyone know officially why Kristen Beat lost her spot on the team and eventually ended up on the Tier II WSX series? We can all guess, just wondered what the official explanation entailed?

Why do people in this sport act like anybody covering it "doesn't know anything" like its rocket science to be able to describe a bike change or a rider talking about not feeling well lol. Do you think these journalists that spend years talking to riders, team, staff, promoters, etc every single week, dissecting the information then explaining it on TV seriously aren't capable of understanding ruts? or whoops? Football for example is 100x more sophisticated than MX/SX (not saying its better bc its not lol). Nobody is telling Jenny Taft she "doesnt know shit and should stick to the script" when she is covering a Michigan game with 10x the viewers a SX will ever receive.

Yep that’s exactly what I mean.

Some 90 pound NBC Sports DEI hire doesn’t know jack shit about SX/MX. It’s obvious she is reading from a script.  Then feels entitled to talk too much. In a room with Weege, Bubba, RC, etc she should be damn near silent.

Nobody who hasn’t even ridden a dirt bike in Dad’s backyard understands SX “Ruts or Whoops”…this is very obvious accept to you. Erin never did this..

100% fact. Motorsports in general lost a great deal of talent when Speed folded. Dave Despain, Robin Miller, Bob Varsha, Steve Matchett, David Hobbs and the lovely and talented Ms. Bates......she was the epitome of a guy's girl........*sigh*........those were halcyon days.
