Whatever happened to that kid he used to keep Izzy honest on the 80s. I don’t know that he even ever went pro and I’ve never heard a thing about him since but there’s some old videos out there where he’s just ripping.

KdW is in an awkward situation, he stayed MX2 to defend his crown, and his main competitor Lucas Coenen went up and almost won the 450 series, effectively jumping KdW in the pecking order, in MXGP and at KTM/Husky group. Then he gets beat by LangenFelder, and has to go up anyway. So now he is on the back foot, and recovering from injury, he needs to be solid through 2026 to get back to where he was. He was supposed to be the 'next guy' when Herlings moved on, and he isnt.
