A friend had a pair. The plastic on those was a lot more flexible than the Scott boots that came out shortly after, but I recall the Heckles broke down pretty quickly. Took him a while to get shifting down.

Clearly one of the left over the production models - hence the observation it looks like it never touched dirt. The big bore for sure had a down pipe, they may have mixed it up with the 250 but I've always seen it, even back then, with the up pipe.

I'm not sure the equestrian model translates. The challenge will be potential liability around human changes to natural terrain - what track isn't built these days - and managing operations in terms of risk management with lots of people on site.

Lots of great riders have skipped it at different times for different reasons - including RC, Stew, and Windham at least from the US. Some people are okay with it, some not, and there's not really any way to please everyone when a rider decides what's best for him any given year.

Again, good on you, and it sounds like it can work for a close circle of trusted people. Might be hard to scale it to a commercial track serving more riders, which we need more of. Continued good luck with keeping it going claims free.

Expected more from Davies in 250s and Barcia in 450s. Dudney performed, will be interesting to see if he can keep this up. Lot of Low/High moto finishes across both motos for few guys that you'd expect more from, and that seemed to mix things up quite a bit.
