Are they bringing Jett’s motorhome over?

There’s a recent trend of guys clinging to Jett’s win percentages and migrating away from raw stats/records. The lesson here—never preemptively crown goats. While RC’s goat status is bolstered by his win percentages, it has very little to do with them and it has everything to do with his raw numbers accumulated over consecutive years. RC was only 26 during his last full season as a pro. The amount of championships and wins that he put up by that point is unthinkable.

I know discussions on Vital can get out of hand when comparing riders, but in another thread the question was posed about Jett's winning percentage in motocross specifically the 450s vs. RC's. That piqued my interest so I started looking at the numbers and thought this was worth starting a discussion. RC finished his AMA Pro Motocross career with an 80.3% overall outdoor win rate (102 wins in 127 starts). His premier-class outdoor record was even crazier: 76 wins in 88 starts (86.4%). He also had three perfect seasons (2002, 2004, 2005) and won the motocross championship 10 straight years...

It's in line with the Aussie series, not sure about the AMA and rest of Europe but you can't make adjustments to the bike during the red flag. I think it's fair, if the bike was damaged during the race you wouldn't be able to swap it.

Herlings and Coenen have been so much better and so far ahead of everyone else so far this year. May be a hot take but I think Lucas will be better than Jett

Seewers fastest lap time 1:44:722. Everybody else between 10th and 20th put in 1:41-1:42 laptimes. I said it in some other thread here but i will say it again, Seewer and Ducati has to split because this is a waste of time.

Seewer went from being a constant top 5 guy to battling for 20th week in and out in just 3 seasons and I really don't think it's just the bike, so awkward. I wonder if he's done already and thinking about retirement? Feels like he's just riding around, not pushing at all On the other hand.. The top 15 are crazy right now, but it's still not the same Seewer out there we have seen a couple years ago

Valin’s helmet looked cool. Reminded me of the 90’s Troy Lee stuff. Does anyone remember the different helmet sticker kits they used to sell? Valin’s looked the old “wet flames” kit they sold. Wish they would bring that back!

That's a fair point, but also consider he only switched bikes this year after being on the same brand his entire pro career. I'd have to imagine he's still working on set up and finding things

Holy shit their schedule is absolutely packed this year considering they'd actually move to the US right after MXGP ends. They barely have any free weekends from now on until next year, crazy.

I think that could have been Kay's best ride on a 450 so far.

Yeah crazy, I just looked it up. They have a single free weekend between Lommel and Uddevalla in early Aug. And one before Mxon last week of Sept. Rest is full. Then off season starts 2nd week of Oct. 2 months later A1. Crazy. Or maybe they start outdoors? But then I guess they wouldnt do Bercy

It was a sketchy thing to be doing on a 250, high risk, low reward. I was with the guys from the UK end of the team at Lyng for a while and they were stoked to have him on board.

That's because he is usually (except for two seasons) coming into the season not being at 100% or straight up injured. This year he has been healthy though. We won't see a much better version of him than what we have seen at round 1 or at Trentino where he had his crazy charge. He's already better than what we have seen from him the past 3-4 years imo.

Decent entry lists! I see that Gyan Doensen will make his GP debut. Same goes for Garcia and Cannon with their BUD racing Kawi's. Ernecker and Askew will also make their debut. Guadagnini will be out with a broken collarbone for the most of the season Cas Valk latest rumours are that he is out with a broken femur. His crash circulates on Instagram and Facebook. That was a nasty hit in Markelo.. shame because I really would have loved to see him do well on the KTM
