Hunta has a few things to clean up, but the tip over this time was a freak occurrence - sand, mud, and/or a rock wedged into the chain guide as he was making the turn. you can see the wheel lock just as he accelerated out of the turn....

I’m about done with all the back and forth about what’s his name and Jett, so how about a bit of appreciation for the number 96?! Just a round ago Hunter achieved something no one has has; going 1-1 against his brother, then this week he straight up runs Jett down and pulls away. Second moto he goes from sixth to the front via a couple of laps that were very reminiscent of a true Tomac Beast Mode, i.e. he drops his lap times to several seconds faster than anyone else and absolutely charges to the front. If this performance...

I wouldn't say he's for sure in the top 5 at Southwick if he doesn't crash. Lucas, Jett, Hunter, and Prado are pretty much a lock for the top 4 at that track, add in RJ who was pretty close to him in the 2nd moto last week after starting behind him, and some sand specialists like Haarup and Van...

Jett sounded genuinely dejected in his post race interviews about his leg. He was putting alot of weight on it (figuratively/literally) on why he could not be at his best. He's a proven phenom as a rookie undefeated season so I don't believe he is giving excuses. Sand will be more demanding at Southwick even if not Lommel. I want him to be in the hunt but just can't see it late in the moto under those conditions.

I see much improvement from RJ and Garrett. Which Prado shows up is still a question.Hopefully the one that raced Red Bud. Throw the Coenen's in the mix and should be a pretty competitive race. Hopefully it will live up to the potential.

2nd in the 2nd moto lol. Prado gapped him and Hunter chased him down and beat him by 20 seconds. But wait until he gets a start.

What do you think Deegs is gonna do if he “gets a start” that he couldn’t do in moto 2 yesterday?

He has all the reasons to not go out there and risk it all if his first 450 world title is at risk lol. If the opprtunity is there if not he gonna settle. He aint his brother

You couldn’t blame the guy if true. Showed so much heart coming back from injury time and time again. He can still enjoy riding with his family and friends.

They did a great job. Trying to slow down a track is always a learning curve. This is by far a decent GP track. I hope it stays. South Africa needs to be on the schedule.

I was under the impression that everyone was complaining that the track was too fast. I enjoyed the racing, and for sure, the track layout was pretty decent. A few small changes here and there could make the track better. If they could run this GP in summer, then we'd have nice green grass and awesome trees in full-bloom. Also the soil will be loamier that time of the year. Johannesburg area is bone dry in winter.

You have enough slow narrow tracks in the series. Lets see them boys open up the throttle with big jumps it makes it more exciting to watch. Track was good and many riders enjoyed it.

I don't understand how anyone can complain about the track, it was great. I hope this round becomes a regular in the GP schedule.

I was there. Lots of spectators. Racing was excellent. Track was rough where it needed to be. The track is built on the side of the hill so elevation everywhere. Not sure what race was shown on tv, but all the comments made so far here, don't reflect the even I went to on Sunday.

Johannesburg area is very dry during winter. Had this GP taken place in summer, you'd have lush dark green grass everywhere around the track and the trees would be in full bloom with purple flowers. I liked the track but it definitely could be slowed down a bit..throw in a few 180 corners to start with. The Mlimi's, who own the track will learn from this and if they get another GP then I'd hope they secure a date for later in the year.

What do you expect a man made track in the middle of nowhere to look like ? Its South Africa, its hot and dusty, Unadilla would look like that if it was there.

I thought the track looked like great, very wide, lots of places to pass. Sure it doesn't have the scenery around it, but it looked like a proper gp track to me, albeit very high speed.

If we count all pro races (MX2+MXGP+MX US (250/450), SX US (250/450), SMX, MXON. Lucas Coenen has, since yersteday, led more laps than Hunter Lawrence. Lucas led 854 laps vs 851 for Hunter. Among the active riders over this last week-end : 3 352 = Cairoli 2 859 = Herlings 2 031 = Prado 1 562 = Gajser 1 521 = Jett 1 148 = Vialle 1 082 = Febvre 854 = Lucas 851 = Hunter 747 = Webb
