The ‘09 is a great bike. I got a little carried away with this one, I ended up putting too much money into it. The motor was a little soft on the stock bike, but Tokyo Mods did a great job with their mods.

Welp, back at it again with the Suzukis in arenas. We’ve been able to improve this team every year from an equipment and funding standpoint in almost every aspect, which feels good. I don’t think any team can guarantee results in this sport, but I can control what we offer the riders, and I’m proud of it. Last year the plan was to flood the starting line with 4 riders in each series. Let me tell you a story about me rebuilding a rear shock, That nasty black stinky oil from the factory doesn't come out of wall paint or ceilings paint, floors, cloth's, skin or hair. 😒

Hey y’all! Been busy the last days spanning wrenches on the bike. I trimmed the frame to make it more clean around the front engine bracket and also gained a bit of clearance for the exhaust. I started to play with the reed cage volume and pre-compression values so I’m modifying the V-Force Reed Cage (pictures and info soon), however I installed the oem reed cage in order to base run in the dyno. 9/10/2026 11:33am I've dyed a few parts with rit dye, it does work and seems to hold up good, would love to do a full set of plastics one day. The dye did start to fade after a while, but not terrible, but that was probably my piss poor dye job.

As the title states, this is a build for the upcoming Barn Find Open being put on by Red Bull & Carson Brown at Oak Ridge MX in Iowa. I traded a 04 YZ125 for this 1997 XR400 that has a maximum of 15 original hours. Wanting to build somewhat of a 4 stroke nationals inspired build without opening the engine up, and while keeping some of the XR charm as I plan to eventually put a plate on this and use as a dual sport rig around town and on the road as an outside sales rep. I was pretty good thru my early amateur days, but I broke my femur at age 16 at a LL regional which turned into a big complication nearly costing me my leg. Never recovered from that mentally and my racing suffered ever since.
