i think that would end up being the best location too, i will get to work on some brackets! The fan is mainly for the guy we’re borrowing the bike from. We’ve got a solid mix of technical trails and steep, loamy hill climbs around here, and he definitely takes full advantage, usually at the cost of pistons and coolant...

I like your subframe location for the battery much better than the inside of the airbox. Could you fab up some brackets and use the threaded tabs that are on that crossmember? PS- what's the fan for?

Just got back to wrenching on this hog after being sick so we’re even further behind than I’d like, but we’ll make it happen! Got the linkage, swingarm, and triple clamp bearings cleaned and greased. Finished assembling the chassis, mounted the wheels, and then torqued the motor mounts, chassis, swingarm pivot, and linkage under the bike’s own weight. Picked this...

thank you CRC! yes we ground down the cases to allow clearance for the piston skirt. However I did not know about the shift stopper, I will be ordering one of those ASAP so hopefully it comes in on time.

It's Troy's GasGas rig, so it could simply be an old tool box or Justin will be reuniting with Troy and the TLD gang come 2026. Possibly both. He's in the last year of his contract, the KTM group isn't doing well financially, and he wants to continue racing.

At 28 seconds you can see a number 51 on the tool box to the left of the bike, any insight as to if that's Barcia's or if that 51 has other significance?

Cool write up Cole. I do the development and performance work for PRMX. 250 heads are CNC ported, cams are designed and ground by us all in house. We used custom Wossner pistons. Different balance factors and inertia factors were used on the cranks. Electric water pumps were also used on the 250. Just finished the 25 team KX's.

Nothing really made me step away. I really liked being a mechanic, but after the season was over I chase didn't have anything lined up for outdoors so went home and ended up starting up a air filter company called Workz Filters (shameless plug) and I've been building that ever since.

Thank you, I'm not sure what the parts budget was, but we would go through grips, graphics, plastics, chain, tires, seat cover, air filter, oil, filter, and oil every race. every 6 races or so we would put new rotors and pads on the bike. Our teardowns were when necessary just because we didn't stay on Sundays like the factory...
