LL's is just a money grab anymore. They don't care, it's all about the money.

If you wanna get to supercross, you need to practice pitting out of the hood.  I think the track should be able to charge more for the pro SX Prep conditions.

RJ Hampshire just posted on X about Archview also. This is some good drama.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but there should be zero alternates for a regional. Plenty of areas to try and qualify. Alternates should only be for x amount that missed out making it through a regional to LL.

Even if you did that this place wasn't fitting everyone, especially some of the rigs people show up to the amateur national scene these days.

I don't know who thought having this there was a good idea. Its unfortunate because that track itself is really good for a youth regional (and a lot of fun) but its just in a terrible location and a small facility overall.

This will probably really hurt their reputation... not saying that some of the hate isn't justified but there is 3 sides to the problem (crazy moto parents, greedy mxsports, and unprepared/not equipped track owners looking to make a dime).

I do get frustrated though by all the hating people that are coming from out of the region... like yes you are spending a lot of money but you are no different than the local regional racer. Don't try to ruin a track you live 10 hours away from. You technically shouldn't even be racing it.. not to mention you didn't bother to look it up via google maps and realize its in EAST ST LOUIS WITH A PRISON 1/2 MILE AWAY. I mean come on... the city metro runs right by the track. On satellite images there are 3 gravel parking lanes at the whole track.

Critical thinking is lacking on all sides.

I had to do a quick search of this area where the track is.   It is the worst area not only in Chicago, but all of Illinois and the rest of the country.
I dont think I would want to park off site.

4 1/2 hours from Chicago.

But yea, that area is sketchy as hell. When the track first opened some friends got robbed at the nearest gas station when leaving. You definitely don't want to stop close to there.

Unless things have changed since I hosted a regional at one of my tracks about 20 years ago, parking fees, practice fees, vehicle fess, and admission are all set by the promoter, not MX sports.

MX sports made their money off area and regional qualifier fees that are collected at the area events and sent in for the regionals before the event.

Sure sounds a lot like this track went overboard on trying to capitalize on getting this event.

MX Sports was most likely not involved in the reserved parking fiasco.

They obviously do need to put a little more effort into making sure the facilities they award these events to can handle the crowd expected, have staff to ensure things run smoothly, and are equipped to handle tough conditions.

I own a utility construction company and have done many projects in and around East STL. It's one of the most dangerous areas I've ever worked in and we have completed projects in the worst areas of Miami, Southside Chicago, Oakland, Houston, Newark, etc. The police recommended that we  limit our hours on site from 7-2, because after that things would began to heat up and they would have limited response to calls for assistance.

My son Dade works for Dana Howard in East St Louis every single day, i fear for his life every day

Archview was the place I’d watch kids dominate the B class and then pull over on the last lap because they didn’t want to get moved up to the A class by the AMA. Wanted to remain B for LL. Meanwhile the kids that are a distant 3rd or 4th end up winning and they get possibly pushed out of B. Now the 3rd and 4th place kids make LL in B only to be racing what should and could be A riders. I’m sure it happens in C class to B class as well. That’s LL integrity. I always wanted the entire class to just pull in behind the leaders who pulled over and just sit there. Nobody finish.

Hey it’s working for her lol

She’s making money off all her videos, then somehow companies get behind that and support her kid and send him a few free bikes.

Is this the “keeping up with the L’s”?

As long as the kids are enjoying it and the family is having fun, Im all for it.
I miss the days doing this type of things with my kids, albeit a single dad. Enjoy every minute of it while you can.
I just watched a couple videos today as someone had mentioned it, otherwise I never heard of them.

Crutcher is probably friends with Owner Paul.

Great dirt track in the worst neighborhood in the USA

Do not venture off nearby unless you go 5 miles to collinsville Illinois.

No caseyville, no saint louis, no eat st louis, no fairmont city, no state park, no madison and no granite city

Collinsville, Glen Carbon, Maryville, Troy only within 15 miles or less

That used to be my closest track.  I sure miss that dirt!

Yah, it might help if they all didn't have busses or toterhomes with 30ft trailers.

I never get the people shitting on Loretta’s every year. I get that almost all the kids won’t make a living riding dirtbikes and parents are extra, but these kids have dreams and they are going for them. Maybe it’s to make it or win it but at least they are working hard for something. Maybe it’s not the only big race of the year anymore but who care? It’s a big race and it’s exciting so shitting on it does nothing.

The amateur system is whatever people choose to make of it. To the extent it's broken, at least part of the blame is with the absurd number of people who see amateur racing as the thing you do while trying to go pro and get paid or support or blah blah blah. That's not amateur racing, that's trying to go pro. Plenty of opportunities to be an amateur racer, make memories, learn life lessons, etc etc etc for those who still want to do that. Major eye roll when keefer said Aiden had never raced 4 weekends in a row while complaining about the amateur system. That's not a problem with the system, that's a choice. The point of amateur racing shouldn't be solely focused on finding the next few pros but that's what it's turned into. Hopefully the increased focus on futures can improve the situation a little but I doubt it will.

Lmfao agreed. Place has been a shitshow for 20+ years. Doesn’t even have enough parking for a good local race & now he can’t believe this many people showed up to a regional lmaooooo. This is next level unreal.

Just go and watch this crazy mini moms stories from the weekend. Sure she will be posting tons of drama. Last weekend was an attack on Raycin Kyler over running multiple regionals but yet she pulls out of the third motos.

That page is a lot to take in lol.....

And these people are from Sacramento, right? Posting about a regional in Illinois?

Also I’m pretty sure that archview owner Paul has been running gate at Loretta’s for a few years now. Probably in charge of the pricing increases too 🤣🤣 but yeah that’s how he got a regional. Mxsports loves it when you come to Loretta’s & stroke them off

I couldve sworn back in the day you had to have a physical address on the area/regional you intended to race in. Being from New Mexico, you did have the option to go to California or Texas. You could only pick one. At least thats what we were told. We always went to Texas as the dirt and tracks were more fun. I would say do that again. Once you have raced one regional, or signed up for one and completed a lap, thats it. No more going to multiple. Just a thought. Lot less money in it that way I suppose. When you did make it, it sure felt like a wicked awesome accomplishment.

They were from the NorCal area but moved away and haven’t seen them at any local tracks in a couple years now.

There are simply too many racers being allowed. Get rid of the kids that already tried and failed at another regional, and certainly get rid of those that already have a ticket.

I talked to a kid a few years ago that was here in Indiana for the area qualifier at wildcat and he was clear from Cali. Shit is insane.
