Max said they hadn’t offered anything for next season. In order to ride WSX he was going to need a different ride. Makes sense for him to leave now and move on to a ride that will support him racing WSX and SX. Him not getting resigned is not mutual, but leaving now based on that sounds mutual, so make of it what you will.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see Davies go elsewhere.

I agree. I would like to see him race WSX + SX, a few outdoors, and then SMX back for the team in a 250 next year and then take the DeanO/Shane spot in 28 and race 450s to wind down the career.

a quick search on RacerX vault and well let's just say Max has had many an opportunity to prove himself.
He's raced 18 series in the USA spanning 2009 -2026 with a series overall average of 12.5.
Max is too old to mix it with the young kids and he's not getting any faster. Your speed degrades a greater percent per year.
If I was Max I'd be heading to Brazil / Australia or get used to riding in a B team.

Is it a d--- thing to say that he really hasn't produced anything of great significance across his US tenure? A few race wins in 250 SX regional. Always in the top 10, but in reality not a consistent top tier talent.
Wishing him all the best of course, however I don't see this departure to be much of a big deal.

Yup, Honda has the Lawrence brothers locked in for the next 4 years and if Jo moves up how couldn’t Honda want their best rider ever (Japan) to not be on a Honda. Honda 450s looks full for the foreseeable future.

You know I’ve liked Lewis for a few years now but he really is incredibly rude to all of his cohosts…ML on the vital pod he goes out of his way to make his points seem boring or be a dick. Does the same thing to Kellen on LVK. He’s condescending and rude to those dudes in a super weird way that makes the other dudes seem…idk like ML will talk about something personal a story or something and Lewis will essentially be a bully to the dude and try to alienate him like nobody cares what he’s saying.
