Matt Burkeem has excellent raw videos that show technique much better. Outside of the obvious that Jett and Hunter do so well is pre jumping breaking bumps. They unweight the bike much like Reedy used to do before entering whoops and the bike floats over them much cleaner. At Red Bud it was very apparent

Any start block higher than 3”, gone. Grates, gone. Holeshot device, gone. But they could never take away start maps, there would be no way to monitor that.

…Back in the day, no one ever got hurt racing dirt bikes. Everyone just rode around on their 20 HP Hodaka Combat Wombats, wearing their open face helmets with lit cigarettes in their mouth and laughing like “On any Sunday” Four strokes and fast riders and technical advancements have ruined motocross. if Bob Hurricane Hannah and Jody Wiesel ran this sport everything would be awesome. 🤡 This place has turned into the fucking old folks home. Moto is supposed to be a savage sport. GWS AP

My little guy and I hit our local pump track every once in a while. I’m in my thirties and my back aches after pounding a few laps, lol

I can't believe anyone hasn't mentioned the use of ANY bump to clear rough parts of the track.

Cairolis KTM 450 was basically using the same setup US riders are using for SX for the forks. Ultrastiff. Mosiman has a video on it from him test riding Cairolis bike. It varies, based on rider preference. Lawrence's are very precise so maybe they can run a softer setup in general but I don't think this is a general MXGP vs AMA setup thing anymore.

It starts with setup, both are able to run a softer bike, which transfers to a more balanced, stable bike, with better traction. Most US guys set their bikes up stiff because of supercross and still run a stiff setup compared to GP based riders. US based riders are taught to brake into turns as late as possible, slam on...

A Dirt Jumper more times than not is a single speed mountain bike with more of a bmx geometry. Typically front suspension and a hard tail with 26”, 27.5” or 29” wheels.

I’ve raced BMX a long time, the tracks, except a few of the UCI track are relatively the same, bar asphalt turns. Rockford, probably one of the most popular tracks in the Midwest has been the same since the first time I raced it in 04. I’m not trying to pick a fight, or have a debate, just curious as...

Chase also won 7 times and won the outdoors in his first year on KTM…because KTM has the right people to make the correct changes to win…Kawi does not have that and it will show this year….it’s not the bike it’s the team leadership….
