Shit.. yes Vicky, not sure how I got that wrong. She was a wild one and definitely wasn’t shy. I think she and Sondra were in a competition for sleeping with the local pros. I’m sure we’ve crossed paths, I started racing the mini track in 1978, but moved over to the International and Shadow Glen tracks by ‘79. Spent nearly every weekend there for a few years. We were fortunate to grow up in that era for sure.

Sure, but Justin's last 250 season had 8 consecutive podiums, a 4th and a 5th. It's very comparable to Tom's best season. I would have expected Tom to do about as well as Cooper or RJ have been doing in the big bike class, based on their previous results in the 250s, so his results so far are a fun surprise.

Seriously…I had my fill with one of the two back in the Jetski days…They thought that they were going to clean up in the endurance races because they were “Kawasaki” they didn’t even come close….but that didn’t stop him from protesting us 3 races in a row and forced to do complete tear downs just so he could figure out why they were getting smoked…It got rather old doing complete tear downs every race only to show them why we were kicking their ass was because we were pretty much as close to stock as we could be… he then...

Me thinks Tomac then...like Sexton now, got mesmerized by the money Kawasaki threw at them. Kawie (just like some other OEM's) has historically "bought talent", perhaps thinking that a particular riders skill could overcome their apparent cluelessness.

One thing for sure, ruts are making their way to local tracks. Don't get me wrong a nice rut berm is a blast, but when they drench the track and plow it 3 feet deep on the entire track it sucks. Lots of chest thumpers will want to argue about it and tracks even brag about their ruts, but they can have them. I had a pro license in the 80s, but can't imagine the skill it takes these days to do the rhythms and whoops in SX with deep ruts on the faces. It makes the racing worse when...

They misused lime once, and quit using it. Used correctly it is safe and works for what it is intended to do, like a chainsaw, insecticide, or motorcycles themselves. A sheeps foot compactor would help as well.
