If Sacha has to sit out a round or two Triumph probably wins the Mx2 title this year. Whatever they're doing in the MXGP at least, it works. I hope they can sign good guys for next years in the US. Swoll looked really good sometimes but it's really hard to judge a team when the riders are permanently out/injured.. And I don't believe Smith would be better on any other bike. The more teams/spots, the better, that's for sure. But they need some consistent riders to build and get dialed in imo.

The fix is simple. Take the futures/combines, scrap those Make Pro-sport series (ama A class) The A class rules. It provides an actual series for guys to race, it puts it on the national level and it's also a spot better suited for the low level privateers who only show up to 1 or 2 events. have jt run opposite of the wmx for outdoors, 6 rounds and then run maybe 8rds? sx, east west 4 rds each. Now riders have a real series to compete in, and earn a real title

Every time a Romano or a Thrasher gets signed, just like everyone else I start to think why are they signing this guy who's been doing this forever and is a known quantity, but then I look up their age and they're around 22 and it makes a little more sense. Plenty of guys don't find their way and get it all together until much older than that and I think this approach and the 18 year old pro requirement is probably overall healthier for the sport. Need something else to fill the developmental gap now though. 450 is old...

Maybe but would it really change anything? Its not just a Kawi/PC issue in picking the wrong riders when it comes to the 250 class. After Jett and Hunter moved up Deegan was the only consistent rider. Outside of Davies (with the exception of this past weekend) the 250 class seems like a collection of riders that can't stay on two wheels.

Not making a joke here, but the best rivalry over the last 3 years is Harlan vs Hand. Those 2 guys, no matter the class/bike/venue are always BOTH fighting for the bubble spot. Indoors it's the LCQ, outdoors it's the last points paying position. 250s, 450s, doesn't matter. These two guys find one another on the field of battle and duke it out almost every time Some youtuber with too much time on their hands could review the last 36 months of AMA race footage and have a feature length doco of 2 dudes who were destined to run each...

Media = RiVaLrY Reality: There's only been 3 guys that have beaten the Lawrences for an outdoor overall win since they moved up to the 450 class. Sexton (5x), Tomac (2x), and Plessinger (1x). Since 2024 when Hunter moved up, only one has beaten both for an overall and it's Sexton who did it twice. The only rivalry at the top is between the brothers. Edit: beaten both in a moto, not overall.

Kawasaki will win another title before Sexton does.

Based on those Sexton interviews I’d say there’s about a 0.1% chance of seeing him on a Kawi again.
