When Ron Lechien went to Japan with Team Honda in 1986 he was busted at the airport for possession of marijuana. I raced that race in n the 500 class. My son was a baby and I bought him this shirt. My daughter and grandkids have all worn it. I still have it.

83 250 National at Lake Whitney. Wadded up the first lap of the first moto. Got up a lap down and finished 30th. Second moto was running about 15th and tipped over at the 20 minute mark. Took all the wind out of my sale. Rode around for a lap or two still in the top 20, finally pulled off. Close to heat stroke. Still kinda regret it to this day. I know its not the question but in 1985 I made the 125 main event in Orlando Florida and the Rose bowl .I rode the YZ 125 which really sucked that year

If you put a fully PC tuned 327 next to a fully tuned 450 right now, I’d take the 327 without a second thought. There should be videos of RV riding the 327 soon.

Maybe after a couple years the 327 will become a 350, and if you bore out the 350 it becomes a 355. Long stroke it to a 383. IYKYK.
